We then follow up to build resilience in hosting nonprofits. and we find trauma informed and resilience building staff members for health care providers. Connecting with nonprofits – host events and build capacity, artists/poets - apply for sponsorship, employers/jobseekers – find resilience builders www.poetryforpower.com http://poetryforpersonalpower.com/replication/event-replication-application/ Artist painter Nina Irwin discusses her work and spoken word /poet, co-host of PoUnd Slam, and founder of Nique Poetry, Nick Givechy joins us in the second half of the program

Ashley Lindeman, President of The Graduate Art History Association (GAHA) treasurer Meghan Donohogne, and artist Maret Miller join us in the second half of the program. The Graduate Art History Association (GAHA) is a student group under the Art & Art History Department that dedicates itself to fostering professional development in art scholarship. We work with local museums, galleries, and educational institutions to enable students to enter into dialogue with established art professionals. This is GAHA's second exhibition (the group curates one for the UMKC Gallery of Art once every 2-3 years). Body-Mind Entente features multimedia artworks that explore the relationship between body and mind, perception and cognition, consciousness and spirituality. It looks into the biological and cultural factors that shape our existence, enabling us to develop singular identities while simultaneously sharing many features and modes of behavior with others. This exhibition opens a dialogue between art and cognitive sciences by unveiling significant crossovers between artists and scientists’ objects of inquiry. The contemporary artists whose work is included in Body-Mind Entente approach pivotal questions about how people perceive, think, and build a sense of identity in relation to others. The exhibition shows that aesthetics play an important role in heightening self-consciousness and triggering reflection on the interdependence between body and mind.
