We make choices
When we hear voices
in our heads,
it’s a given,
they might be good or bad,
making us happy or sad,
but it’s what keeps
all our souls driven….

It's All About Hope.
What about Love?
why is it so damned blind,
in a world full of hearts
loneliness tears apart,
we're all looking to find,
someone perpetually kind
who'd never leave us behind
crying:
"What about Love??"
I've known romances
and took my chances
in Loves sweet parade,
cruel happenstances
and long last dances
as I watched Love fade,
far too many girls strayed
and they left me to pray....
"What about Love?"
What about Life.....
why does it vanish so fast?
first you're young, just begun
then you're old and it's done,
you're just part of the past,
will you whisper with sorrow
as you're breathing your last?
"Dear God, What about life?"
I've watched so many
of my loved ones perish
in a few short years
held their trembling hands
as they abandoned their plans
and tried to stem their fears,
but when the Reaper appeared,
they gasped through their final tears,
"Oh, Lord, what About Life?"
What about dreams
that ease our realities?
all those gleams in your eyes
until you realize
that they never will be
must we settle for less?
screaming endlessly please...
"What about dreams?"
I'm writing music
on my old accoustic
every night and day,
but the record execs
don't pay me any respect,
when I come by to play,
each time they send me away,
I just turn back and say...
What about Dreams??
Didn't you ever have dreams??

Maybe it might be the key,

and you're trying to cope

on so much of our choices

or the person we marry

plus the wealth that we carry

but the ones I cherish best,

Sometimes, I get to thinking 'bout you
in the late hours of the night,
as my eyes get teary and my soul's so weary...
I have no strength to make that flight,
Up that single set of stairs
where you're waiting there
dreaming about anything but me,
I know I've made some mistakes
and we've shared some bad breaks
but I don't want to set you free...

We said for "Better or worse"
but worse is the curse
that seems to dog us more than best,
We said "in sickness and health"
but you've grown sick of me
and my own health could matter less,
We pledged "Till death do us part,
but no one told us that love
could die before we both were gone,
so I sit at my P.C. writing sad poetry,
and make the couch my partner until dawn.
