What does the Bermuda Triangle, Allegiant, and World War II have in common? They all are discussed in this episode. We unpack why we don't always like male-centric books, the burn-out problem that comes with fantasy, the One Girl trope that has been overdone, and the fact we are, infamously, bad at reading. Welcome to the episode where we discuss all the books we haven't discussed, and we tell you why we didn't want to discuss them. It's our season finale, so enjoy it baby!

We finally get to talk about what we have been actively not talking about for the past however many episodes. Spoiler Alert: Gale inadvertently killed Prim. What are we supposed to do with that? What is Katniss supposed to do with that? We also talk about Peeta, and his hijacking, and Katniss's decision to hold a final Hunger Games with the Capitol children. It's spoilers galore. It becomes a question and answer game as LBJ presses LEJW for questions she does not have the answers to... LBJ gets increasingly upset with the lack of answers. It's a fun time, and it does not end in tears. Promise. 

We have had technical difficulties in the past. And we will have technical difficulties in the future. But there has never been (and hopefully never will be again) a technical difficult like this one: Laura is left alone in the studio, as other Laura's wifi disconnects. Aside from that, we had a blast. Come chat about Finnick, mostly, and a little bit about Katniss and sex, two words that are rarely (outside of fanfic) said in the same sentence. Once again we are discussing our love of Suzanne Collins, and the world of The Hunger Games. 

This episode's official catch cry is "the plan is there is no plan". In the midst of exam breakdowns, we take a moment to talk about the work of art that is Catching Fire. We talk about everything we want to talk about and nothing we don't want to talk about. Peeta is a featuring character, because he is objectively the best fictional character ever written, and Katniss gets a few discussion points too. As do all the scenes that didn't make it into the films, which LBJ is livid about. Welcome. to. the. show. We're overjoyed to have you. 

Laura and Laura got tired of talking (just kidding... the limit does not exist) so we brought our resident Little Women expert Carolyn on to share in the chaos. We discuss the Jo and Laurie vs Amy and Laurie hypothesis, which Little Woman each of us identifies with, and why everyone always wants us to be a Jo. Come join the chaos, it'll be fun, we promise. 

It's the episode we've all been waiting for... well, Australian Laura has been waiting for. Time to talk Suzanne Collins and her undeniable genius. Peeta and his undeniable intelligence (intelligence IS sexy), the Peeta vs Gale debacle, and, of course, sticking it to the Capitol. We try to stay within the scope of the first film / book, but hey... we all have flaws. Also Australian Laura mistakenly celebrates this as our tenth episode - she was wrong. How embarrassing. Sooooo we weren't done talking about Harry Potter apparently! We move away from J.K. Rowling and into the world of wizardry. We discuss whether Ron was good enough for Hermione, what we thought of the epilogue, who was the saddest death... all in one neat package. 

Technical mishaps are all the rage at the moment, but we power through. Hot topics for the week include what house Australian Laura is in (it's been hotly debated, if you have a strong opinion on it let us know) and then we move on to discussing the skill of a fandom that can separate a rather shitty author from their rather fantastic work.
