Both Nick and John backtrack on their previous [uneducated or viewed!] judgment of 1917, the most recent offering from American Beauty director Sam Mendes -- and the legendary cinematographer Roger Deakins. The guys talk about why they loved the film, and how the films extremely-rare "no-cuts" approach helped both engage & unnerve the audience while following in the footsteps of the two main protagonists in this war movie.

The guys, with special guest Taylor, discuss Quentin Tarantino's newest film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. With Nick & John's background in VFX and Taylor's background in writing & screenplays, the conversations takes many fun and interesting turns. MPC (Moving Picture Company) Vancouver is the most recent victim, after having just finished a major re-work of the 'Sonic' character for the upcoming movie. 17 hour days and 7 day work weeks were not uncommon -- and sadly is not uncommon in the industry, either. Nick and John also share their own industry stories & insights as well, and discuss how this system runs all the way up from producers to studios -- and even to countries.
