We've all seen the record numbers of gun sales the past few years in America as our communities get more and more dangerous.   In our own ways, we are all seeking to feel safer and more secure and it's often highlighted by school safety.   Recently, we were made aware of a new product being used in area schools, and a growing number of districts nationwide, that could make all the difference in the world protecting kids and teachers.

   Former police officer Steve Johnson founded www.safehavendefense.com 5 years ago in response to a school shooting.  His story, and his quest to deter would-be killers, is an inspiring example of American ingenuity and drive.
