As ‘summer’ comes to a cool close, are 80s going to return?
Closing out meteorological summer, Bill Snyder, longtime WGN-TV weather producer, storm guru, and meteorological master, joins John Landecker to discuss an unusually cool end of August – the last week of which saw temperatures fail to reach 80 degrees for only the sixth time in history. Will Labor Day bring back the 80-degree temps? And, remembering the extreme conditions that spawned the Plainfield tornado, 35 years ago today.
