Audrey Jones is both a returned service and teaching missionary. In this episode, we discuss the spiritually condensed opportunity that missions offer and how Audrey has made the most out of hers. Faithful missionary service can teach us how to more fully live even the simplest principles of the gospel such as scripture study and prayer. Upon feeling inspired to finish her mission at home as a service missionary, Audrey also explains how she has used her mission to magnify her musical talent. She shares with us what some of the song-writing process looks like and how she has seen the hand of the Lord involved within that process.

General Conference was absolutely wonderful. So many important and comforting messages were delivered by our inspired Church leaders. In our second roundtable episode, we wanted to discuss some of our insights and four particular themes we noticed. We talk about the importance of charity and service, preparing to meet the Savior, daily repentance, and finding peace when our own limitations impede our ability to do all we desire to do.

Brother Gibson Porter has an extraordinary story. He recently reached the end of his service missionary experience and has many inspiring insights to share. Born with a rare form of facial cerebral palsy, Brother Porter has faced unique and difficult challenges throughout his life including the natural ability most of us have to speak and communicate so easily. Such a simple task as speaking is something we often take for granted.

In our conversation with him, we talk about the spiritual advantages that disability and unanswered prayer can present and the differences between spiritual and physical healing.

Elder Logan Castleton is a current service missionary with a unique way of shining the light of Christ. Putting his musical background into action, this talented young missionary shows us what it truly means to consecrate our talents to the Lord. Using gospel lyrics to inspire hope and faith, Elder Castleton has made a name for himself as “Rapping Missionary”.

His music has reached thousands of individuals, but perhaps what is even more inspiring is the ongoing battle he valiantly fights behind the scenes. Being born with a severe heart condition has forced him to manage his life in unique and often difficult ways, causing him to be a little more creative in fulfilling his service missionary purpose. Indeed, opposition does often present us with new opportunities.

Despite seeming like he has every reason not to, Elder Castleton still chooses to serve as the Savior would. Join us in today’s episode as we discuss the ultimate motivation behind losing ourselves for the cause of Christ.
