What does it mean that Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life?

As we continue our I AM Statements of Jesus series, we turn to John 11:17–27, where Jesus meets Martha in her grief and offers hope that reaches beyond the grave. We’ll explore his authority over death, the eternal life he gives, and his personal question: “Do you believe this?”

Whether you are grieving, facing uncertainty, or exploring faith, this message invites you to place your hope in Jesus.

Are you tired—not just physically tired, but weary from carrying something you can’t fix or control?

In Ruth 3, Ruth and Naomi are still living with uncertainty. They don’t know exactly how their story will end, but God is already at work providing a redeemer.

Ruth takes the next faithful step, places herself at the feet of her redeemer, and receives a promise that allows her to rest even before everything is resolved.

The same is true for us.

We may not know what happens next, when the prayer will be answered, or how God will work everything out—but we know our Redeemer.

Jesus has done what we could never do for ourselves. Through His life, death, and resurrection, He has accomplished our redemption.

BIG IDEA: We can rest because our Redeemer is at work.
