Jesus’ resurrection from the grave wasn’t fuzzy or ghostly. It resulted in sharp edges of real holes in real hands of a real conquering-death-human.

The Sunday after Easter is often less well attended, but you will want to be there anyway.

The past few days were extremely unsettling. Especially if your name was Mary. Or Peter. Or James. Or John. Or any part of Jesus’ traveling band of friends. What a wild ride on the Golgotha roller coaster. Skull Mountain Express.

Jesus kept offering Judas sincere love. True friendship. Even celebrated the Passover with him. Included him in the inaugural Lord’s Supper. Never turned away from him. Never booted him out.

Tornado watches differ from warnings. Warnings mean a tornado’s been sighted. Watches imply that all the ingredients for a fancy meal are on the counter, but a chef hasn’t put them together yet.
