It has never been more important for us to own and control media outlets that address our unique issues in every area of existence. There is a huge difference in chasing something and attracting something. Most people associated results with effort, and while effort is important energy is paramount. When you truly know what you are capable of, the energy from that confidence will literally draw the right people and situations to you. Generally, when you are chasing something, it is from a position of desperation and desperation producing negative energy.  This does not mean that you should have a good work ethic, but you should be working smart. Learn how to attract what you want and you will never have to chase it.

We have to be careful who we are backing in the New Black Media. Not everyone is out there to fight for the interests of Black people. There are some who are getting rich off of the suffering of Blacks. Take the time to completely vet those you follow. You don't need to get into their personal affairs but you need to know the business and organizational alliances. Are they being financed by White dollars? Are they speaking and behaving in a way that is non-conducive to the progress of the Whole? We have to protect the integrity of the New Black Media movement.

What do you do when things go terribly wrong. No matter how well you plan, there will be things outside your control. How you respond to these events will determine the course of your life. Life is 10 percent what happens to you and 90 percent how you respond to it. You have to understand that life is not happening to you, it is responding to you.

It is of the essence that the Black collective rediscovers the power of authentic Black love and the massive role it plays in empowering our people. We talk a lot about multitudinous strategies like holistic education, group economics, political activism and more, but without the spiritual force of Black love it will not produce the desired result.

Yvette Cornell ~ Tone Moore & ADOS’ Constant Attacks On Dr. Claud Anderson ~ Enough Already ~ There is a way to hold a position and bring clarity without attacking an elder. No philosophy or ideology is perfect and no one has all of the answers. We need to put our egos aside or everything we try to build will self-destruct.
