Rep. Tim Burchett: I’m just living the dream. I got this inner ear problem so I’m having trouble hearing. Hang on, let me turn the volume up here. I’ll put it in my good ear. What’s up?
Laslo: I was just wondering if you had a minute. There’s been so much news these past week or so.
Burchett: Crazy, man. Matt Gaetz — when he said what he said, you know, he didn’t say that they’re interbreeding with aliens, but he did say that he was briefed on it and it was a military guy. And I remember — we get briefed on this stuff individually. People come up and tell you stuff and people want to meet with you and you always do. And of course he represented one of the biggest military installations in the country. I think he had more military people in his district than anybody in Congress. So.

“So people at the Pentagon you’re trying to be cute and it’s not going to work,” Luna tells us. “And we’re not asking for briefing, we’re asking for the documents.”

SCENE: As Rep. Anna Paulina Luna was talking UAP transparency at the Capitol, Ask a Pol’s Matt Laslo asked whether lawmakers were getting a Pentagon briefing or whether this standoff is now about documents — and possible subpoenas.
Matt Laslo: “So you guys are going to get a briefing now from the Pentagon?”
Rep. Luna: “No, I haven’t requested a briefing. I requested documents and so if we have to subpoena the documents, we will. And whoever at the Pentagon decided to not pass our letter, at least some and acting that they get fired. I have a very clear understanding of the directive, not just for the president, but also understand that Hegseth is in line with the president on all this policy, assume through this one. So we’ll be getting the doc it’s just fictitious show. The crap that we have to deal with. to getting straight to the point.”
Laslo: “Have you reached out to Hegseth personally or?”
Luna: “I have his number. I reached out to the White House directly. I am going to be calling if I start getting pushed back. But I don’t act that you wasn’t like, don’t give those documents over. So people at the Pentagon you’re trying to be cute and it’s not going to work. And we’re not asking for briefing, we’re asking for the documents.”
