The image of the rolling stone derives from the old proverb "a rolling stone gathers no moss.
If you desire something which is impossible, you are ensuring lifetime frustration for yourself. Let me give you some examples of such desires
Instead, I would like to advise you to desire what is possible and then follow your desires with all your courage and conviction. If your desires are possible, the same desires can lift you to higher level and give you so much of a joy.
"God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference."
It seems obvious that you will compare yourself to people who have been more successful at a given time than you. Indeed, man always seeks to aim higher. By making these comparisons, your problems will begin. You will find that some of your classmates or people you considered to be of the same level as you in the past have done better.
They have a better house, a better car, a better woman or a better man… In short, you have the impression that they have done better than you simply!
Once you have made this bitter observation, you will ask yourself the following question:
Since there is no real satisfactory answer to this question, you will be looking for an answer for a very long time. By not finding a real answer, you will start observing the behavior of these people in order to look like them.
THIS OR THAT ?
1 Introduction to This and that
A number of studies document “choice overload”, the phenomenon that leads individuals to delay decision-making, report lower choice satisfaction, and make poorer decisions when faced with a large number of choice options . Not all studies, however, find evidence for the choice overload effect, and most recently, there has been a call to understand how strong and universal the effect is, as well as to identify some of the boundary conditions for too much choice . Demonstrations of the choice overload effect suggest that, as we increase the number of options, choice satisfaction initially improves but after a certain point begins to decrease (in the shape of a concave function). We can ask if this effect depends not only on the number of alternatives in the choice set but also on how much variety the alternatives in the choice set provide. This is a relevant question .
SEEING THE WORLD THRU PERCEPTION AND BELIEF
Perception and belief are two words that refer to mental states or conditions that influence the way in which we see things around us. Perception is the way in which you sensory information to notice something or the way in which you understand something. Belief is a strong conviction or acceptance about something.
PERCEPTION:
Perception is the sensory experience of the world. It involves both recognizing environmental stimuli and actions in response to these stimuli. Through the perceptual process, we gain information about the properties and elements of the environment that are critical to our survival.
BELIEF:
1 : a feeling of being sure that a person or thing exists or is true or trustworthy belief in ghosts belief in democracy. 2 : religious faith. 3 : something believed It's my belief that our team really won
Is consciousness a battle between your beliefs and perceptions?
Imagine you’re at a magic show, in which the performer suddenly vanishes. Of course, you ultimately know that the person is probably just hiding somewhere. Yet it continues to look as if the person has disappeared. We can’t reason away that appearance, no matter what logic dictates. Why are our conscious experiences so stubborn?
The fact that our perception of the world appears to be so intransigent, however much we might reflect on it, tells us something unique about how our brains are wired. Compare the magician scenario with how we usually process information. Say you have five friends who tell you it’s raining outside, and one weather website indicating that it isn’t. You’d probably just consider the website to be wrong and write it off. But when it comes to conscious perception, there seems to be something strangely persistent about what we see, hear and feel. Even when a perceptual experience is clearly ‘wrong’, we can’t just mute it.
NOTE: PLEASE UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PERCEPTIONS AND BELIEFS. CONFUSION ABOUT UNDERSTANDING THEM CAN REALLY DERAIL YOUR LIFE. "SO BE EXTRA CAREFUL"
Think about it. If you take a quick look around you, how much perfections do you actually see? Your public transport system is likely far from perfect, the industry leaders are not infallible, Einstein had accurate and inaccurate theories, and by all means you’re likely to find all kinds of mistakes, typos and whatnot on this blog and blogpost. So isn’t it actually very silly to procrastinate and not finish something because it’s not “perfect”? It is.
If you feel you actually know something that is perfect then I challenge you to write it in the comment field below and I’m sure we can all dissect it and find numerous faults. There’s simply is no such thing as perfect, so stop holding yourself hostage to such standards.

How to Balance the Give and Take in Your Relationships
You’ll know this is you if you tend to eagerly put aside your own needs to meet those of others. Underlying this martyrdom often is a feeling of not being a good person in some undefined way. When you feel stretched too thin with issues of your own, the imbalance in the give and take can lead to resentment. At some point, you may refuse to care anymore, because you’ve reached the end of your tether. This creates an unfortunate vicious cycle in which you act in ways that make you BE UNHAPPY about yourself and feed into the existing belief of not being a good person.
Although less easy to recognize in ourselves (and easier to spot in others), this would be you if you feel your pursuits and problems are more important than those of others. This could be because givers can create takers, or because deep beneath your feelings of deservedness lies the pain of unworthiness. Even if the other person’s needs are reasonable, they may trigger you. You’ll tend to be less understanding, or less willing to help. This creates an unhealthy push and pull cycle where your partner’s need for your time or attention only increases; but sometimes, stepping beyond ourselves is all we need to do to put our own challenges into perspective.

YOUR PAST IS EMPTY ?
I was looking for good pictures to go with this topic, and I was struck to what degree people think that what they have as their past is what happened in the past.
100% of what happened, what you say happened, what you remember happened, actually didn’t happen. You only remember what you said about it… the meanings, the interpretations. Not what happened in reality.
Getting to see what is in reality, what was in reality, takes work, and a serious change in how you look.
