  • EP122 - Jeremy Dyson - The power of failing, asking for help and writing in partnerships.

Jeremy Dyson (@dysonjeremy) is an author, musician and screenwriter best known as one of the League of Gentlemen and the co-writer of the horror film Ghost Stories. We talked about how he got his early work, how rejection was actually really good for him and why asking for help is just as important as giving back and helping when you’re in a position to do so.

  • EP118 - Seán Morley - The Glang Show and Intelligent Absurdism

Seán Morley (@seanmorl) is a comedian, intelligent surrealist and comedy club promoter. He’s the inventor of the Glang Show and built up a chunk Sheffield Comedy Scene (almost) single-handedly.

We talked about running comedy nights and building an audience for them on your reputation. Founding a show that is anti-Gongs and why it is important as well as developing your comedic persona and waiting for a bit longer than you might normally want to before approaching agents / industry.

  • ATI Extra - British Comedy Guide Pro

A firm friend and supporter of the podcast, Mark Boosey, has launched an awesome new side of the British Comedy Guide for comedians / performers called "Pro". In it you can learn about the industry, find out about job opportunities and events, enjoy exclusive articles and podcasts and more! Another big feature I love is that you get control over your CV page (here's mine).

If you are going to sign up, please use this link ( https://www.comedy.co.uk/pro/?code=ATI ) and type in ATI in the checkout box so you can save £5 off a years membership (and I get a few quid for everyone who does this as well).

    Everybody wins.

PS I was not paid do this, I wanted to do it to support Mark's work and the BCG in general... and the affiliate link sealed the deal.
