I HEAR BIRDS
Once upon a time, in a small village nestled at the foot of a great mountain, there lived a young girl named Lily. Lily was a kind and gentle soul, and she loved nothing more than spending time in the forest, listening to the birds singing and the leaves rustling in the breeze.
One day, as Lily was walking through the forest, she heard a series of high-pitched chirps coming from a nearby tree. She looked up and saw a tiny bird perched on a branch, its feathers ruffled and its beady eyes fixed on her.
Lily approached the bird slowly, hoping not to startle it. To her surprise, the bird hopped down from the branch and landed on her outstretched hand. Its tiny feet tickled her palm, and its wings flapped softly as it chirped at her.
Lily felt a rush of joy and wonder at the unexpected encounter. She spent the rest of the day in the forest, walking with the bird perched on her shoulder, listening to its sweet chirps and feeling its warmth against her skin.
As the sun began to set, Lily knew it was time to say goodbye to her new feathered friend. She gently lifted the bird off her shoulder and placed it back on the branch where she had found it. The bird looked at her for a moment, as if to say thank you, before taking flight and disappearing into the trees.
From that day on, whenever Lily walked through the forest, she would listen out for the high-pitched chirps of her little bird friend. And though she never saw it again, the memory of their brief encounter stayed with her always, filling her heart with happiness and reminding her of the magic that can be found in even the smallest and most unexpected of moments.
