ALEJANDRO FIGUEREDO DÍAZ-PERERA is a conceptual artist from Havana, Cuba who works a variety of media including: video, photography, painting, installation and text. Whereas, the medium is dictated by the idea or investigation. Through his practice, he seeks to make connections between the personal and the universal points of view, exploring absence and paradox in many different ways, by the process of forcing to contradict himself. Exhibitions include an intervention at The Chicago Artists Coalition, a two-person show with collaborator Cara Megan Lewis at Antena Gallery and participation in the Rapid Pulse International Performance Art Festival at Defibrillator Gallery, both in Chicago. Participation in festivals and exhibitions in Cuba include the International Festival of Video Art in Camaguey, the 10th and 11th Havana Biennials, and a workshop-exhibition in collaboration with Gabriel Orozco in Havana.
Jovan C. Speller is a multidisciplinary artist based in Minneapolis, MN. Her work – visual, textual and performative – interprets historic narratives through contemporary discourse. Her research based practice is centered around elevating, complicating and inventing stories that explore ancestry, identity, and spatial memory – making the intangible tangible and the invisible visible.
Cameron Gainer (b. 1973) is a visual artist making work in a diverse range of media. He is the Publisher and Executive Editor of The Third Rail a nonprofit publication devoted to a discussion of modern
Jean Alexander Frater experiments with the materials inherent to painting and then integrates other histories, traditions and language into this form. Alexander Frater was a 2017-2018 Chicago Artists BOLT resident, received an MFA. from School of Art the Institute of Chicago, and a BA in Philosophy, from the University of Dayton, Ohio. Her work has been exhibited internationally in venues such as the Wexner Center for Arts, Columbus; El Museo Cultural de Santa Fe; Images Festival, Toronto; Possible Project Space, Brooklyn; Ben-Gurion. airport, Tel Aviv; Kulturhuset, Stockholm, Aspect/Ratio, Chicago; THE MISSION Gallery, Chicago; Transmitter Gallery, Brooklyn and Guest Spot @ The Reinstitute, Baltimore.
Adam Daley Wilson is a self-taught contemporary conceptual artist who lives and works in Maine. His work is manifested in oil painting, installations, multi-media, video, and performance art. Daley Wilson’s practice focuses on a cognitive process where he uses words and pushes them to their full extent while allowing space for interpretation. His practice also culls from his traditional education (Stanford Law, University of Pennsylvania) and his living with bipolar 1.
