  • From Dust to Glory
From Dust to Glory Sown in Weakness, Raised in Power — 1 Corinthians 15:35–58 This message explores the wonder of God's creative design, the transforming power of the gospel, and the glorious resurrection promised to those who belong to Jesus Christ. Using Paul's illustration of a seed planted in the ground, we discover that what is sown does not fully resemble what God intends to bring forth. Just as God gives each seed a body according to His design, He has promised to transform our mortal, corruptible bodies into glorious, incorruptible bodies through the resurrection. What we are today is not the fullness of what God has promised we shall be. The message contrasts the first Adam with the last Adam, Jesus Christ. Through Adam's disobedience, sin, corruption, and death entered the human family. But through Jesus' perfect obedience, sacrificial death, and victorious resurrection, eternal life is made available to all who believe. Adam received life from God, but Jesus gives life to others! While every human bears the effects of Adam's fall, those who are born again receive new life in Christ and are being transformed into His likeness. Paul's four resurrection contrasts reveal the completeness of God's redemptive work: sown in corruption, raised in incorruption; sown in dishonor, raised in glory; sown in weakness, raised in power; sown a natural body, raised a spiritual body. These promises assure believers that the limitations of our present bodies will not define our eternal future. The resurrection is not merely an escape from death but the glorious completion of the redemption Jesus has already begun within us. The message also emphasizes that our future transfo

The message encourages believers to remain strong and obedient, trusting in the God who is present in their midst and who rejoices over them with singing. This pastoral exhortation invites the church to rest in the assurance of God's unchanging love and the hope of the New Jerusalem.

  • The Enemy Among Us, Pt. 3
This sermon examines the characteristics of those who reject false teaching, focusing on the necessity of remaining steadfast and holding to the foundation of God. • Devo 126: Serious About Prayer
When individuals commit to a serious and consistent prayer life, they may encounter spiritual opposition, distraction, and even persecution, as illustrated by Paul and Silas, who were imprisoned after casting out a demon. Despite their suffering, their deep devotion to prayer and worship in the midst of adversity led to a powerful, earth-shaking miracle that liberated both themselves and others. This transformative experience underscores the reality that authentic prayer, rooted in intimacy with God, can break spiritual chains and produce divine intervention. The sermon emphasizes that such a lifestyle requires perseverance, reliance on God's protection, and a willingness to cry out in faith amid trials. It encourages believers to pursue deeper prayer with expectancy, assuring them that God honors those who seek Him earnestly and that such devotion can radically change both personal lives and communities.

  • Have You Been Working Out?
This sermon reinterprets Philippians 2:12, arguing that 'working out' salvation is not about self-generated assurance but about consistently growing in the faith God has already provided. The message emphasizes that genuine Christian maturity is evidenced by three visible traits: obedience that persists beyond peer pressure, contentment that rejects murmuring and disputing, and a blameless character that shines as a light in a dark world. Using the metaphor of physical exercise, the preacher illustrates that consistent spiritual discipline produces noticeable results in a believer's life. The tone is pastoral and instructional, encouraging the congregation to move beyond passive faith to active, daily obedience that supports the Great Commission and brings joy to the church.
