On this episode of Aftershocks TV, Matt sits down with legendary NYHC vocalist John Joseph (ex-Cro-Mags) to talk about the new BLOODCLOT release 'Souls'. Joseph talks about the bands history as an opening act for the legendary Bad Brains in the early 80's and the reason for reforming the band in the late 2000's. He discusses the band's change in musical direction from their previous full-length 'Up In Arms' and the current political and social landscape that fueled the lyrics, concepts and music that he wrote for the release alongside guitarist Tom Capone (ex-Quicksand). Joseph talks about the recent splintering of the hardcore scene due to socio-political differences and how the pandemic and cancel culture have affected his personal life both in and outside the music world and much more.
