Kylie's connection to boarding life runs deep, as she was once a boarder herself. With a profound passion for nurturing the growth and development of the girls in the Boarding House, Kylie brings a wealth of experience and a personal understanding of the unique challenges and joys that come with boarding school life.

Starting her career in Maryborough, Kylie's journey in the boarding community continued as her husband, Tony, served as a Boarding master at Toowoomba Grammar School. Together, they have cultivated a commitment to creating a supportive and enriching environment for young individuals away from home.

Everyone at Fairholme belongs to one of four Houses – Black, Cameron, Powell and Stephens. While each staff member at Fairholme is a caregiver, the Holme Group Teacher plays a unique role by leading a small group from one of the Houses and meeting with students in their Holme Group daily. During this time, they worship together, celebrate, enjoy activities and support one another.

In this latest At Holme Podcast, we hear from Fairholme's Head of Faith and Wellbeing, Cath Butler, about the school's Holme Group structure, results from research into wellbeing at Fairholme and practical examples and ideas as to what is needed to support our students. 

While most 2022 Seniors were counting down the minutes to open their ATAR score, Lauren Scott was enduring a fitness test before finding out her results.

But it was worth the wait, surrounded by family, Lauren opened her ATAR result to see a score of 99.4.

Kathryn Doyle sat down with Lauren to capture her reaction and find out what 2023 holds.

Fairholme 2022 ATAR Results: 

· 6.3% achieved an ATAR of 95 or above

· 31.3% achieved an ATAR of 95 or above

· 51.6% achieved an ATAR 90 or above

· 91 median ATAR

· 95% completed a VET Qualification

· 20% of girls received ‘A’s in all subjected studied
