At Home With Mark episodes

  • At Home with Mark: Oliver Wood
It's crazy to write this, but I am celebrating 50 episodes between now and August 2020! I couldn't think of any other person I'd like to spend it with but my favorite singer/songwriter, Oliver Wood. Oliver and his brother Chris are the siblings that make up my favorite band... The Wood Brothers. You all have heard me gush about this trio many times on my channel - they write soulful/healing music that speaks to me in a way I can't describe. Being at a live Wood Brothers show is something I think everyone should experience! The songs are great, the band is great, the sheer level of musicianship is off the dang charts! I freaking love those guys and cannot wait to discuss their music AND also Oliver's (soon to be released) solo record "Always Smilin'"! You guys don't wanna miss this one... trust me.

  • At Home with Mark: Jeff Mcerlain

I am very excited to chat with guitarist Jeff McErlain this episode! You may know him from his Youtube Channel or TrueFire courses, but did you know that Jeff has gigged with the heaviest of heavies and has a new record out ("Now") that was produced by Robben Ford? Jeff is one of the tastiest players out there and we're gonna find out what makes him tick and what gear he's in love with in 2021.

  • At Home with Mark: Ryan Stasik
In 2005ish I heard a record called Anchor Drops that fundamentally changed the way I viewed improvisation in a jamband setting... AND also made me remember who I was and how it's still okay to dig heavy music. Ryan Stasik, bass player in the Chicago based band Umphrey's McGee, will be joining me to chat about his story. Ryan is one of my favorite bass players on the scene because his sense of groove and time are always locked, his proclivity to melody and fearlessness to create spontaneous ideas, even in the deepest/darkest chasms of an improvisational setting are mind blowing! If you don't believe me, just listen to any UM "Jimmy Stewart" and strap in for a ride. Grab a cold beverage and kick it with us... per usual, it's gonna get nerdy.

  • At Home with Mark: Tim Lefebvre
I have been looking forward to this episode for quite some time; we get to sit down with one of my all time favorite bass players... Tim Lefebvre! Tim is an innovator in the instrument - I liken him to cats like Hendrix in as much as he is never satisfied with just four strings and an amp. He's always pushing the limits as to what the Bass can be and how he can support a song. He's played on countless amazing records and we're gonna nerd out about it all; grab a seat and hang with us while we traverse the story of Tim Lefebvre.

  • At Home with Mark: Tore Mogensen
We all know Tore as the pedal Guru, who has worked with countless big names in the industry - but where did he start? How did his path lead to UA and some of the most anticipated, high end, stomp boxes of the year?! Grab a chair and chill for a little afternoon guitar delight.

  • At Home with Mark: Chris Buck
I have been looking forward to this episode for quite some time. What else can can said about Chris Buck that hasn't been said before? He's not only an amazing presence on Youtube, fantastic player and wealth of guitar knowledge... but he's one of the kindest people i've met in the industry. We're gonna get guitar nerdy galore, so grab a cozy cup and settle in for this hang with Chris Buck!

  • At Home with Mark: John Priest
John Priest is not only a killer guitarist, but he runs quite an amazing music shop in the UK... Peach Guitars. Ever since I saw him walking around (online) at NAMM covering all the gear I would buy, I knew his shop was probably a wonderland! From Suhrs, to Xotic, to super choice amps like Two Rock and Magnatone - that place is 100% on my bucketlist! This is going to be a very special episode because John is going to pull some killer examples (both old and new) from his shop to share with us - my wallet is scared...

  • At Home with Mark: Wayne Jones
I have been following Headstrong Amplifiers from afar since around 2012 when I saw one in Charlie Hunter's rig; fast forward several years and now all my buddies are playing them (and for good reason). In this Episode I sit down with the man responsible for these beautiful creations, Wayne Jones. It's gonna get nerdy and I couldn't be more pumped!

I am so excited to chat with Scott McKeon - not only is he a killer guitarists that has a new album, "New Morning", dropping (that you all will love); but he has a ridiculously amazing pedal line as well! The first time I heard him play, I immediately wanted to be in his band. Grab a comfy chair and kick back with us on this Saturday morning edition of At Home with Mark!
