At Home With Mark

This week on At Home with Mark, my guest is Kurt Johnson ,guitarist, session musician, multi-instrumentalist, producer and fellow gearhead! We both share a love of the instrument and of the devices that make it come to life so this should be a super fun conversation! We’ll also dig into the projects he’s involved in and chat about life on the road in touring projects like Mikaela Davis and Southern Star and The Moho Collective!

On this episode we have master craftsman/luthier Benjamin Paldacci from Paldacci Guitars! He builds absolutely stunning instruments and I cannot wait to chat with him about the importance of tone in an acoustic instrument. He is meticulous and very intentional on how he builds guitars so this will be a very interesting episode!

This week, on AHWM, we’ve got, guitarist, Mike Sivilli from the band Dangermuffin. It’s no secret to anyone that follows this Channel and on IG that I fell head over heels for his band in 2024. I can’t wait to dig into his history with the band and all about how his rig has evolved throughout his time playing stages all over this country.

On this episode we're hanging with multi-instrumentalist/producer Joe Bagale, aka Otis McDonald. I first heard about him via Eric Krasno years ago and went down a rabbit hole of funk, r&b, hip-hop and lo-fi vibes listening to his music. He's a chameleon of grooves and harmony and melody - adapting to any genre or style! I can't wait to sit down and discuss everything with him!

On this episode we have Dan Lotti from the band Dangermuffin! I have absolutely fallen in love with their music over the past 8 months and I am quite late to the game, as they've been hustling since 2007! Their newest, self titled, release is in my top 3 favorite albums of 2024 and I highly recommend you check it out! Beautiful songwriting, insightful lyrics, killer musicianship and Dan's amazing vocals make a soulful stew you can't turn your back on! You don't want to miss this one.

On this episode I have a new, local, friend Brad Cox. Brad has been in the Baltimore music scene for a while performing and writing music with his band Skitzo Calypso; and he is a great advocate and champion of the Maryland Music Scene via his podcast "Mouthful of Graffiti". I'm looking forward to chatting with him and hearing about all the things he has going on in his world!

This episode we are hanging with a musician I highly admire. Keyboards are just as much a love of mine as guitar and Wil Blades is one of the finest there is making joyful noises these days. If you love Hammond Organ or anything keys related you don’t wanna miss the Third Episode of Season 10 of “At Home with Mark”.

On this episode we dive into all things low end with bassist Kevin Scott. Kevin is one of the most in demand bassists working today. He currently tours with Gov't Mule, but has worked with a plethora of extremely talented artists such as: Colonel Bruce Hampton, Jimmy Herring & Wane Krantz. As of very recent, he also brings some serious heat with Rick Lollar and Josh Dion in and around NYC! I can't wait to hear Kevin's story!
