 Trent and Patrick welcome Bill and Otis Crowder into the studio to celebrate Crowder Construction Company’s 75th anniversary!  Their fathers, W.T. Crowder and O.P. David McGuire, COO for the Roby Family of Companies, joins Trent on “At Home with Roby”.  Trent and Dave’s friendship began in 9th grade soccer tryouts at Harding University High School.  And while he officially started with the Roby Family in July 2008, he did spend several high school and college summers working for the company as a laborer riding in the dump truck, mixing mortar and more.  Tune in to learn more about the guys’ friendship, Dave’s role at the company and how it has evolved over the years, and Andrew Roby’s exciting plans to expand to the Asheville market in the coming months.

Michael DePalma, President of The Bridge Foundation, and Emmanuel Boakye join Trent and Patrick on “At Home with Roby”.  The Bridge Foundation was established in 2003 to promote friendship and the exchange of ideas among some of Charlotte’s young professionals.  Each year, members of the group award one Mecklenburg County senior with a $20,000 scholarship.  Emmanuel Boakye, 2022 recipient of the scholarship, joins the conversation to share his story.  Originally from Ghana, West Africa, Emmanuel moved to America in 2016 at the age of 11.  He is a recent graduate of West Charlotte High School and will be attending Rochester Institute of Technology this fall.  To combine his love of computers and fascination with the human brain, Emmanuel plans to major in Micro Electronics with a minor in Neuroscience.  Tune in to meet him and learn more about his impressive plans and goals for the future.  You will be blown away!

 Bart Noonan with West Blvd Ministry returns to “At Home with Roby” alongside his Youth Program Manager, Byron Ruff.  The mission of West Blvd Ministry is “to serve the spiritual and physical needs of families and communities within the West Blvd Corridor to the glory of Jesus Christ”.  The non-profit organization celebrated its 5 year anniversary in March.  During those first 5 years, Bart has helped countless families and children in the community, purchased property and built a permanent home / office for the organization – Gracie’s House – where they host weekly Bible studies, reading and mentoring programs, and monthly dinners with the CMPD Westover Division, and hired his first full time employee, Coach Byron Ruff.  Tune in to learn how Bart and Byron are directly impacting the community and changing lives with their “boots on the ground” approach, their plans to hire a female Youth Program Manager and build a mentoring clubhouse on their property specifically for young girls.
