Mike Persinger, Senior Content Editor for Service Titan, joins Patrick and special guest host, David McGuire, on “At Home with Roby”.  Mike moved to Charlotte in 1988 to cover the Charlotte Hornets for The Charlotte Observer.  Mike recalls some of Charlotte’s major sports moments including when the Hornets beat the Chicago Bulls in 1988 and started a 900 game streak of ticket sellouts, when the lights came on at Charlotte Motor Speedway that allowed races at night, and when the Panthers came to town.

Kathi Knier, Chief Development Officer of InReach, and John Kirkland with South State Bank, join Trent and Patrick on “At Home with Roby” to share details about InReach’s upcoming Crown Town Throwdown Cornhole Tournament.  The 6th annual event is happening Saturday, April 23rd at Lenny Boy Brewing. 

InReach was started in 1974 by three parents of children with special needs who wanted more options for their children instead of institutionalization.  Today, InReach has over 550 employees across 8 counties and assists over 1,000 special needs individuals with housing, employment, emergency assistance and more.  Their vision is to empower the people they support “to realize that their goals, aspirations, and dreams are within reach”. 

John is a client of InReach and, with the help of an InReach job coach, has been happily employed at SouthState Bank for over 12 years.  He loves his job and is described by his co-workers as a “steller employee”.  John is also a co-chair of this year’s Crown Town Throwdown.

Mike Modlin, Co-Founder and President of Southeast Dental Partners, joins Trent and Patrick on “At Home with Roby”.  After graduating from dental school in 2011, Mike and his business partner founded Southeast Dental Partners.  Together, they purchased their first dental practice in 2012.  Today, they have 23 locations across NC, SC and VA.  Mike is responsible for the company’s operational efficiency and oversees the day-to-day management of each individual practice.  His main priority for the business is to maximize the value it can bring to its individual partner doctors and to create the best opportunities for them.  Tune in to learn more and to see if Mike, with his booming radio voice, will replace Patrick as Trent’s new co-host!

Phil Buchy with Legion Brewing returns to “At Home with Roby” to share details about their third location opening this April on West Morehead Street (directly across from WBT and the Roby Family of Companies!).  This location will serve as the brewery’s main production facility.  In addition to brewery tours, guests will enjoy their taproom, beer garden and delicious menu.  Tune in to learn more about Legion Brewing’s growth over the years, how they quickly pivoted from 100% on premise to 100% off premise distribution at the start of the pandemic, and how they kept all 150 staff members working throughout the pandemic while simultaneously giving back to the community.
