Before marrying Colin, Lisa MacCrae was involved with two companies within the organic grain industry: “Natures Organic Grist” & “Freekeh Foods.” Natures Organic Grist bought Organic Wheat from Organic farmers all over the country and internationally. The company supplied organic durum wheat to Annie’s and many other companies, such as Bob’s Red Mill. “Freekeh,” an ancient grain, is harvested while the wheat plant while it is still young and green. It is roasted, dried, bagged, and sold in grocery stores all over the country. Lisa handled the customer service for “Freekeh Foods,” their social media outlets, and trade shows. Additionally, Lisa prepared Freekeh dishes for events and stores, and sent samples to food bloggers, food companies and more.
