This week we will be celebrating Pentecost and reflecting on the great gift of the Holy Spirit. All Christian prayer & worship are gifts of the Spirit. We are much more inclined to see prayer & worship as a duty that is demanded of us, rather than a gracious gift that is offered to us - something we have to do for God, rather than something that God does in us. We will examine two different approaches - Prayer as Duty and Prayer as Gift. What if God is on our side of the relationship shaping & inspiring our response to the Father & the Son, revealing to us what & how to pray, and enabling us to participate in the intercession of Christ?

Title: The Ascension of Christ

We will be celebrated the Ascension of Christ. Christ has risen and ascended and has given good gifts to the church through the Spirit, so we will also be celebrating the ordination of Peggy Mindrebo and Bruce Garrison.

Series:  Parables - The Unforgiving Servant

Title:  Amazing Grace -- Pass it on! 

This week we will be considering the Parable of the Unforgiving Servant. The grace and forgiveness of God is extravagant beyond our wildest dreams. But grace is given in order to be given. We are not only to be grateful for the grace we receive, but we are also to be a channel of God's grace to the world around us. We will be considering these thoughts in the message: Amazing Grace--Pass it on!

Series:  Parables - The Kingdom of Heaven is Like...

Title:  You can't have your cake and eat it too! 

Jesus was always using Parables (mini-movies) to reveal to

us what the kingdom of heaven is like. In these stories, the expected &

assumed is overthrown and the unexpected reigns supreme. We will explore one of

Jesus Parables from Matthew 20. This particular one is a bit maddening, and it

doesn’t really end. It just stops. In some strange way - we become the

conclusion to the narrative. Our study this week is called - you

can’t have your cake & eat it too!
