Today's episode is our season finale! We discuss what 2020's been like for us so far since we've reached the halfway mark in the year as well as what our plans are for the summer. See you in Season 3!

On this week's episode, we are talking about those things that we as Latinx 2nd generation young people experienced growing up - from Country Crock tupperware to all the television programs we watched on Spanish-speaking networks, we talk about it all. We also take time to talk more about fighting systemic injustice and racism, the Supreme Court ruling to protect LGBTQ+ workers, and the immigration detention centers abuse. We wrap up our episode with an important update about our show!

This week, Heidi is joined by Julie Salvador and Vicki Olivares, as they discuss their careers journeys and life stories as women, as Latinas, and as Christ followers. Julie is a public defender for Los Angeles County and Vicki is a public school educator for LAUSD.

With the recent protests all around the country in light of the wrongful and tragic death of George Floyd, an African-American man in Minneapolis, MN, the podcast crew wanted to chime in on the discussion of how this movement impacts our lives, how we stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters fighting for equality, and the love we have for this beautiful community.

We have with us Biola Undergrad Student and friend, Jeremy Melendez, sharing his college experience and what has stood out to him. In addition, we discuss what it was like to be a Latinx student on campus where we were underrepresented or not represented at all and the challenges that came with that.

In this episode, we look into the growing fad of Tik-Tok and what we think of could be called "the new Vine". We also dive deeper into what new technology looks like for our parents and older generations versus what it has been and looks for us & millennials.
