Episode 36 We talk with Mikey Armstrong. It's people like Mike that we have to thank for the current growth of the game which we are all enjoying. He's one one of the most personable people i've ever had the pleasure of meeting, who wants nothing more than to see the game take off.
Mike doesn't sit on the fence one bit in this episode and thats what I love about it, he gave honest and well composed answers to questions which he could have taken an easy way out of and it makes for great listening. We are very lucky to have Mike Armstrong as an ambassador for our sport, he's doing amazing work in the higher education sector and also within the English talent Pathway.
Mike thanks for giving up your time and coming on the show and best of luck this year in Ireland, it's finally happening.
Episode 35 we catch up with ex MLL and NLL player Doug Shanahan. Doug became the England mens head coach in 2019 and explains to us what sort of programme he is trying to build for the England boys. did you know he had a stint with the New York Jets NFL team?
Thanks to Doug for coming on the show.
Episode 34 with Helen Amos is the 2nd episode in collaboration with The Lacrosse Foundation. In this episode we talk with Helen about the further education project she is working on with The Lacrosse Foundation as well as her involvement in creating the countries first national league for men's and women's lacrosse, The Fly.
Episode 33 with Tom Wenham, what a great guest, Tom has a great outlook on coaching and how its done, I absolutely loved talking with Tom, he lives eats and breathes coaching and luckily for us his chosen discipline is lacrosse.
This episode is an absolute first, Will Baxter and Katie Greenwood take over the entire podcast to deliver a goalkeeping podcasting masterclass... when i floated the idea to both Will and Katie they were both keen as mustard which honestly surprised me as its no easy feat. however in true goalie fashion they both jumped straight in, if its playing or coaching they've got you covered.
Episode 30 we are back with Anne Pedersen. In this episode we get into the bulk of the questions on what is going on over in Europe. Anne has some amazing ideas and is seriously motivated to help develop our game. I loved talking with Anne and hearing all the amazing work she has been doing both with the ELF and World Lacrosse alike
We are starting the year with a bag. Double episode from the European Lacrosse Federation coaching coordinator Anne Pedersen. Super excited talking to Anne, we get snippets of whats happening in Europe but it was so nice to hear more about European development and the ideas they're working on. Thanks to Anne for coming on the show.
In episode 28 we talk with Andy Downing. Andy played for England field and box teams and he now heads up the Northern Box Lacrosse association as well as working with the national box side. Apologies in advance I have had to edit the recording so both of us could be heard, this may cause a few abnormalities with the levels in the episode.
This is the 1st of 3 episodes in partnership with The Lacrosse Foundation to promote some of the amazing work going on in the lacrosse community. We catch up with Dan Clements who lives as far north in England as you possibly can and runs the Border City Lacrosse club. Its an1 isolated place away from the northern lacrosse community but due to some positivity and hard work theres now a mens, womens and junior set up. Take a liaten to what Dans been up to.
