At The Park STL

STL City Sc is on a 13 match unbeaten streak. The transfer window closed. We had big outgoings and some big incomings. A lot to cover during this window and this run of great play. The outlook is positive despite the losses in talent.

City, unbeaten in 10 competitions, sits in 5th in the Western Conference. A massive turnaround clouded by the exit of their best player didn't prevent City from taking down San Jose on the road on Saturday, 3-1.

This one will sound a little different. That's because we did 2 shows in one this week. 1) The Team of Rivals Podcast and 2) @TheParkSTL. City is on a roll, rocketing up to 7th position in the Western table and unbeaten in 9 straight matches across all competitions.

We meshed pretty well. Almost as well as water and electronics.

We had a lot to catch up on this episode. Most recent STL City SC's win over Austin FC 3-0. They go into the break in 12th position in the Western Conference, up 2 spots over the last week. More importantly, they've captured 10 out of 12 possible points over the last 4 MLS matches. They're riding high heading into the World Cup break as well as the Summer transfer window.

A win for City on the road is a big deal, but the match itself was a slog. One highlight to cover in City's 1-0 win over Colorado is all we have, plus a Durkin red card. The previous game was hardly worth covering as City dropped a road match to Austin FC 2-0.

It was a tough one with ups and downs. A few more finishes and we have a different result, but it didn't happen on this night. STL City SC drops one at home against San Jose 2-3.

We're back after a month of travel. Was it worth the wait? Maybe we should have pushed another week. Some positive signs for City over the last month, but last night's performance on the road at Seattle was a set-back. We have some concerns.

STL City SC hung in there against the best team in the West, but it wasn't enough. City drops match week 4 against LAFC 2-0 and are last in the West as things sit now. They have scored 1 goal in 4 games, so that is a major concern. Asking the defense to be perfect every week is too much to ask, so what's going to give?

It was one bummer of a weekend as City falls to the Sounders 0-1 at home in Energizer Park. Despite controlling the ball over 60% of the match, City once again, failed to muster any offensive threat.

Points split as STL City SC opens up with a draw vs. CLT FC. The early start threw us off, but we recovered.
