Most of the atheists I know were once believers.  if you are or ever were a beleiver, you had a salvation story.  God spoke to you.  Jesus hugged you.  I felt grace flow down my back cleansing me of sin.  

What happens to the salvation story once a person loses faith? how come some people hold to these stories and some people let them go?  What's an atheist to do with a salvation story?

Let's talk about sex.  I grew up in a super catholic family.  I was a true believer all through high school.  I remember being a teenager and telling my friends they would burn in hell for having sex outside of marriage.  This is my background.

When I was leaving, the most difficult part to leave behind was the sexual repression I had imposed on myself.  Allow me to share this story, and how I moved from the shackles of religion, to the much more enjoyable forms of bondage.

I figure it's time to get to it.  Counter-apologetics.  What do atheists have to say when faced with the arguments we get from believers?  How do we respond to the most common arguments?  Is there even a point to discussing it?

I figure I'll start with the end:  TAG, or the transcendental argument for god, or presupposition.  It's the end-game argument, the fall-back, the fail-safe.  Or is it just a carpet bomb of nonsense?

My aunt died recently.  I went to the wake.  I went to the VERY Catholic funeral and burial.  

This episode, I want to look at death.  Is death scary for the atheist?  Does no belief in an afterlife leave us hopeless?  We don't think we will be reunited with passed loved ones in some far off distant land.  Does that make funerals that much more sad?
