I'll be officating my first wedding this weekend.  I'll talk about the expirience, and what marriage means to the atheist.   

Plus, other random thoughts that come to mind.

I hear all the time:  "Why do atheists always talk about god?  For not believing in something, they sure do talk about god a whole lot!!"

 

Why DO athesists talk so much about god?  What is all this ado about nothing?

It's really going to happen!!  A new Episode.  This time, I mean it!

It's time to talk about abortion.  I expect this will be fun.  

I've only ever run into one word besides "atheism" that makes people turn white, and that's abortion.  Why is that?  Why is this such a huge deal?  I'll give my perspective, and take your calls.

What about those jabs atheists use on believers?  Things like the "invisible all-powerful sky daddy", or my personal dragon in my pants?  Is it worth it to point out all the atrocities the god of the old testement commited?  How are these jabs any different from the ones atheists get from beleivers?

Is Freedom of Religion the same as Freedom to Worship?  What, if any, is the difference?  How is this argument framong the debate between the Department of Health and Human Services and the American Catholic Bishops?  

This show will focus on the issue of the HHS demanding that religious institutions provide comprehensive helath care to its employees, and cannot refuse to do so because they don't like it.

Ever heard any of these:  "You have to believe in SOMETHING!" or "Why are you mad at god?" or "Your life must have no meaning!"

This episode of the Roundtable, we'll talk about these jabs people give atheists and what responses people have had for them.

This episode will focus on two fascinating news stories.  The first in from Louisiana where Rep. Valarie Hodges was shocked to learn that the vouchers she supported to send children to Christian schools could also be used to send children to Muslim schools.  Oh, how could that happen?

The second is about a woman convicted of drunk driving.  Her sentence includes a book report on Job.  Really?  What in teh world does that have to do with hurting people in a car wreck?
