We hope you're ready fore some golf analysis. See what we did there? We'll fire up today's edition of BangTheBook Radio with some golf betting advice from Wes Reynolds during our Wednesday Wagering with Wes Reynolds segment. We'll take a look at the Genesis Open, formerly the Northern Trust Open and Nissan Open, at Riviera Country Club with the strongest field of the season to date. We'll also chat with Wes about changes to his handicapping in the NBA and college basketball because things are definitely a bit different throughout the rest of the month.
With Kyle Hunter still ailing, host Adam Burke will take the floor for the latter part of today's show. He'll teach all handicappers a very valuable lesson about betting and keeping an even keel. He'll also talk about how things are shaping up for our hockey situational betting spots this week and keep going with some baseball betting analysis as we draw closer to the season. We've got plenty of things to talk to, so come on and join us!

Those that have been listening to BangTheBook Radio for a while should be able to take their significant others out for a nice steak dinner on Valentine's Day instead of one of the chains. Hopefully we can keep that momentum going with some tips, tricks, and tools of the trade from two professionals here on our Tuesday Meeting show. We'll start it off with Bryan Leonard of WagerTalk.com for this week's Sports Wagering Talk segment. College basketball and the NBA are in the spotlight this time of year, but we'll work in a little bit of MLB stuff with some win total discussions. Handicapping mentalities change in both the NBA and college hoops now with the All-Star Break and the positioning for the conference tournaments. We'll discuss with Bryan.
We're also going Hunting for Winners with Sports Cheetah of WagerTalk.com here on today's show. With Cheetah, on a segment that was recorded on Monday, we talked about how to handicap the games leading into the All-Star Break and if anything should change. We also touched on small sample size handicapping in both the NBA and college basketball. Cheetah also shared an exclusive free pick on the three-point shooting contest at the NBA All-Star Game.

Let's get it started with a new week of BangTheBook Radio. We're going to focus on the daily winter professional leagues here today, as Kyle Hunter is unable to join us due to a losing battle with bronchitis and laryngitis. Our first guest of the week will be the outstanding basketball writer Philip Rossman-Reich, whose work can be found at a lot of places, but primarily at his personal site Orlando Magic Daily. We'll talk about the implications of the All-Star Break and the Trade Deadline with Philip and also about some teams whose stock could be rising when play resumes later next week.
The silver lining to Kyle being unable to join us (aside from the fact that he'll join the show on Wednesday) is that host Adam Burke has a ton of hockey stuff to discuss. This is the best week we've seen in a long time from a situational betting standpoint. Adam will talk about several spots, including some good money line parlay picks and a whole lot more. NHL betting may not be something you do a lot, but this week has potential to be excellent.

We've got one more show coming your way this week on BangTheBook Radio. We'll actually tap back into the BangTheBook Mailbag today to address a couple more listener questions. Audience participation is a really important element of what we do, so it's great to hear from the listeners. That means that we have a lot of host Adam Burke coming on today's show. One great timing element for today is that Atlantis Race & Sports Book in Reno, Nevada has released MLB season win totals, so we can get some ideas for what the numbers will look like in the market when others open.
A listener arranged to call in and ask some Major League Baseball questions, so we'll check about those and a whole lot more as we close the book on another week of BangTheBook Radio.

Our Thursday mega show is coming your way with about 90 minutes of content to get you ready for this weekend and beyond. We'll start things off with Brad Powers of BradPowersSports.com for this week's "Powers Picks" segment. The focus is now on college basketball for Brad, as he keeps working in the background on college football and the upcoming NFL campaign. We'll talk about his contrarian betting styles and talk about the different ways that handicapping basketball can work in both college and the NBA.
Next up, Ralph Michaels of WagerTalk.com joins us for this week's College Basketball Capping segment. We'll talk about another round of upsets in the college basketball world and also take a look ahead to the weekend with his top situational and technical plays of the weekend. College basketball is unique in that there are wide gaps in terms of opponents. Should we still be taking the full body of work into account? Is it best to limit it to conference play at this stage of the game?
Jay Primetown of MMAOddsbreaker.com is back on the broadcast with an in-depth look at UFC 208. This event is in Brooklyn at the Barclays Center and features a main event between Holly Holm and Germaine de Randamie for the new women's featherweight title. Anderson Silva and Glover Teixeira are also on this card, so we'll get some picks and predictions from Jay to help you bang the books this weekend.
