    The NFL playoffs are upon us and who better to chat with us about the four Wild Card Weekend matchups with Brian Blessing of Sportsbook Radio and Vegas Hockey Hotline. Host Adam Burke facilitated the discussion and mixed in some of his own analysis as the guys discussed Bills vs. Texans, Titans vs. Patriots, Vikings vs. Saints, and Seahawks vs. Eagles.
    The guys also chatted some NHL for this week and beyond as we head into the New Year. They also warmed up by heading to Hawaii for the Sentry Tournament of Champions with a quick handicap on the shortened field. They also had a little bit of extra time, so they threw in a little New Year’s Eve surprise with some bowl game analysis for January 1.

    The majority of this December 30 edition of BangTheBook Radio was spent on college football. Host Adam Burke and professional handicapper Kyle Hunter, who has another site at BetterSportsPicks.com, talked about the Orange Bowl for our day-of listeners and then took a look at the five bowl games on Tuesday and the four bowl games on Wednesday. They took more of a rapid fire approach to those games with the time constraints and the desire to get info out there on the games.
    On the college basketball side, conference play really starts for a lot of leagues this week and begins again for the conferences that did some dabbling earlier on in the season. Adam and Kyle talked about the differences in betting conference play and also looked at some quick injury notes and some fade/follow teams going into league play, including some under-the-radar angles.

    The last week of the NFL regular season is here and with it comes the Week 17 Westgate SuperContest Selections segment. Host Adam Burke hasn’t had the season he wanted in the contests, but he had one more set of picks and thoughts to share with our listeners for the SuperContest and also the Circa Sports Million. Adam shared four very likely picks and a couple of leans that are likely to make up his five-play card for this weekend in hopes of finishing the contest strong to round out 2019 in the NFL.
    Brent, the head risk manager from DSI Sportsbook, joined us for this week’s version of The Odds Report. Adam and Brent discussed sharp money in both the college football and NFL betting markets. Bowl game action is heating up and the guys rehashed previous sharp action, touched on new sharp action, and also discussed the College Football Playoff Semifinals. On the NFL side of the ledger, activity is a little slow, but there is still a lot of sharp money out there and Brent specifically isolated a sharp betting trend that is in full effect for this week on totals. This week’s College Football First Look focused on the bowl games. The guys looked at the Hawaii Bowl, Independence Bowl, Quick Lane Bowl, Military Bowl, Pinstripe Bowl, Texas Bowl, Holiday Bowl, and Cheez-It Bowl. As we go throughout the week, we’ll hit on the weekend bowl games, but we tried to hit all of the weekday ones for you with some time to consider our thoughts.
    Then it was time to chat some college basketball to discuss some positive and negative regression candidates. The guys also looked at some teams with some strength of schedule concerns, especially the good teams that have played really bad schedules this season. The guys ran through a lot of teams to have on your radar as conference play begins and as things get back to normal in the college hoops world.

Host Adam Burke won’t be in the money, but he’ll be looking to finish strong with his picks for Week 16 and also his picks for Week 17. On today’s show, Adam shared three very likely picks and three leans that are expected to make up his five-play card. Along the way, Adam also updated the contest as a whole and gave some important advice for those that are in pools that use SuperContest or Circa Million lines with a lot of spreads right on the key numbers of 3 and 7 this week.
    Friday means another edition of The Odds Report with some betting market updates with Brent from DSI Sportsbook. Sharp money is out there for the bowl season and has also been pushing the lines around for Week 16 in the NFL as well. Adam opened the segment with a reminder of the previous bowl games that were discussed and then the guys looked at a new set of bowl games with line moves, including two this weekend and looks ahead to the Redbox Bowl and Belk Bowl. On the NFL side, two totals and two sides were discussed with numbers that have been pretty active in the betting markets this week. Two Saturday games and two Sunday games, including Chiefs vs. Bears, were discussed.
