    Host Adam Burke was joined by professional handicapper Brad Powers from BradPowersSports.com to open up the show. After an intro and some pleasantries, it was time to get down to business. Adam and Brad hit on 16 college football games for Week 11, including Louisiana Tech vs. Marshall before the weekend and then Minnesota vs. Iowa, Navy vs. Notre Dame, Texas vs. Iowa State, Oklahoma vs. Baylor, and Memphis vs. Houston. The guys also worked in some NFL chatter on the most anticipated matchups of the weekend, with thoughts on Patriots vs. Eagles, Bears vs. Rams, and Chiefs vs. Chargers on Monday Night Football in Mexico City.
    To finish up this Thursday edition of the show, host Adam Burke ran through the college football games that we missed on previous segments throughout the week. Those breakdowns included Virginia Tech vs. Georgia Tech, Tulane vs. Temple, UCLA vs. Utah, Appalachian State vs. Georgia State, USC vs. Cal, South Carolina vs. Texas A&M, Florida vs. Missouri, and LSU vs. Ole Miss.

    Host Adam Burke opened up the show with a few quick notes and remarks and then brought on our first guest, professional handicapper Bryan Leonard from WagerTalk.com. The guys talked in the open about what we’ve seen so far in the NBA and what Bryan has taken advantage of in the Association. Then it was all about football. The guys discussed tonight’s two MAC games and also looked at Saturday’s Indiana vs. Penn State matchup. On the NFL side of the ledger, Adam and Bryan talked about Broncos vs. Vikings and also Cardinals vs. 49ers, as a couple of games with big spreads this week.
    We brought professional handicapper Kyle Hunter of HunterSportsPicks.com on the Wednesday show this week. After missing out on Monday’s segment, the guys picked up on Hump Day with college basketball and college football content. Also, per listener request, the edited segments were separated. The college basketball discussion centered on a lot of unders early in the season, possibly because of the rule changes, home court advantage in unique travel situations, Purdue vs. Marquette, and then Saturday’s Washington vs. Tennessee game. On the college football side, the guys talked about this time of the season and also looked at Michigan State vs. Michigan and Navy vs. Notre Dame.

    Host Adam Burke opened up the show with a sorry and a quick introduction about what we’ve got going on at BangTheBook. Then it was time to chat NFL with Brian Blessing of Sportsbook Radio and Vegas Hockey Hotline. Adam and Brian went over what we saw in Week 10 and then looked ahead to Week 11 with thoughts on Steelers vs. Browns, Texans vs. Ravens, and Bills vs. Dolphins. On the NHL side of the spectrum, the guys talked about what we’ve seen so far and about some teams that Brian is looking to back based on their recent play. The guys also looked at Tuesday night’s busy NHL card to get some plays. Finally, they warmed up a little by heading down to Mayakoba for the OHL Classic, this week’s PGA Tour event.
    Professional handicapper Ralph Michaels joined Adam for this week’s Capping the Card segment to talk college football and college basketball. The guys started in CFB with some thoughts on handicapping at this time of the year with so many bowl considerations and other factors. The guys also discussed Western Michigan vs. Ohio, UNC vs. Pitt, and Oklahoma vs. Baylor. On the college hoops side, they discussed what we’ve seen over the first week of the season. They also talked tonight’s Memphis vs. Oregon matchup in Portland and tomorrow’s LSU vs. VCU and Villanova vs. Ohio State games to get some handicapping knowledge and predictions.

    Another week of preparing for the NFL card is just about over and host Adam Burke was ready and raring to go with his picks for Week 10 in the Westgate SuperContest and the Circa Million. After a brief intro to the show, Adam shared one guaranteed pick, two very likely picks, and three leans for this week in the SuperContest. A line value grab highlighted the card, but Adam also shared his supporting evidence and rationale for five games that are on the short list for his five-play card. Stats, matchup analysis, and a breakdown of the betting market and the odds allowed Adam to come to his conclusions and he spoke about those with listeners.
    Our last segment for this week on BangTheBook Radio was this week’s version of The Odds Report with Brent from DSI Sportsbook. Sharp money is out there in both the college football and NFL betting markets and Brent told us about it and where the lines are expected to go. The college sides this week included high-profile games like Penn State vs. Minnesota, LSU vs. Alabama, and Iowa State vs. Oklahoma. NFL sides and totals are moving around based on sharp action and Brent also shed some light on two really good primetime games in the same week for the first time this season.

    Host Adam Burke filled in on his own today with Bryan Leonard unable to join the program. With so much going on, Adam brought a much needed dose of perspective, as he talked about staying organized and about how to handle this very hectic time of the year. He talked about some of the shortcuts that he uses in order to focus in on the card and also discussed some low-risk opportunities in college basketball that could be a good idea in the early going. Sometimes you just need to take a breath and relax and take it all in. With our regular guests extremely busy and others in the industry working hard on other things, Adam didn’t want to chase down a guest and that parallels to what he talked about on today’s segment.
    VSIN host Wes Reynolds also joined Adam on today’s show for this week’s Wednesday Wagering segment. The guys took a look around the basketball betting landscape with so many games and so many options and so many opportunities. Primarily, though, they looked at some college football and NFL betting options for this week. Wes shared some of his favorite sides and totals for Week 11 in college football and Week 10 in the NFL with strong supporting evidence based on a survey of the matchup and the betting market.

On the NFL side, the guys recapped what we saw last week and then looked ahead to this week’s action, with breakdowns of Chargers vs. Raiders, Bills vs. Browns, and Falcons vs. Saints. On the NHL, they took a deep dive into Tuesday’s card, including some of Brian’s favorite selections for this evening, and also looked ahead to the weekend when the Sabres and Lightning play in Stockholm, Sweden. Finally, staying over across the pond, the guys went to Turkey to break down the Turkish Airlines Open in golf.
    Ralph Michaels is a professional handicapper over at WagerTalk.com and he joins us every Tuesday to break down football. Well, this week, the guys also talked college hoops with the start of the season on Tuesday night. First, they started with some college football, with thoughts on Washington vs. Oregon State, LSU vs. Alabama, and then Iowa vs. Wisconsin. On the college hoops side, they discussed some final tips and notes to prepare for the season. They looked at the ACC starting with conference games. Then they talked about Little Brother vs. Big Brother using Drexel vs. Temple as an example. Then they looked at three marquee games for Tuesday night, with Saint Mary’s vs. Wisconsin, Kansas vs. Duke, and Michigan State vs. Kentucky.

They talked about how to handicap college basketball and how to narrow down the card with so many games, so much turnover, and so many new faces in different places.

Adam did mention that two of the leans are stronger than others and that he was strongly considering going that way, so you may have been able to hear all five plays on Friday morning and the reasons why Adam is on those matchups.
    Brent from DSI Sportsbook carries the title of Head Risk Manager and he joins us every Friday to talk about the games in which he has some sharp money exposure. Five college football sides and five NFL games were discussed at length on this segment because of the sharp activity that has been seen thus far. Some of the marquee games, including Georgia vs. Florida and Ravens vs. Patriots, made it onto today’s show because of sharp activity. Other games led to a lot of good talking points, including UAB vs. Tennessee, Lions vs. Raiders, and Browns vs. Broncos.
