Ben opens the show with a Blackadder Warhammer 40k crossover. Set in a world war one setting, space marines are waiting for sisters to come and help them wipe out some heretics - or something like that. How faithfully can the author capture the essence of Rowin Atkinson's and Hugh Laurie's characters in the 40k universe? Turnip mine fields and towel covered boots await! * *

Brandon discusses the first hate mail the show has received, when "Cool Seb" contacts the show to tear apart our analysis of Yu-Gi-Oh. He and his partner also played along with our Music Challenge, so we can crown a current listener champion.

Nerdy News discusses two very exciting segments, and one soul crushing one. With news that both Lord of the Rings and Star Wars are getting new TV shows what concerns do the boys have about their execution? We discuss the plots the each could cover, and the show formats we would like to see. On the other end of the spectrum, the panels blood boils when discussing the latest limits EA are pushing micro-transactions in the new Battlefront game. Spoiler alert: Do not buy this game.

Finally, Brandon closes out the show with his Top 5 Video Game Songs. Some completely expected entries on the list, some slightly lesser known ones. With Brandon and Seb growing up on so many of the same games it becomes quite a trip down memory lane.

Two short stories head the show. The first has Harry Potter reunite after years with Dudley - at the 9 3/4 platform. How does Dudley handle the reunion now that he has children going to Hogwarts? Can Harry forgive everything Dudley did to him as a child? We also explore the business operations of a Mordor restaurant, and why meat is now back on the menu. No one wants stinking maggoty bread after all. * *

Everyone knows the experience of having fond memories of something from their childhood, only for it to have aged horribly when viewing it as an adult. The boys look into the worst experiences they have had. While we agree on many, some of the items are very controversial. With Blizzcon having come and gone we do a special edition of Nerdy News. Blizzard, being one of Ben's many passions, puts Blizzcon as one of his favourite events for the year. How did our favourite games fare?

Finally, Ben gives us a lore paddle into the Warhammer 40k universe with his Top 5 characters. Corn Porn - Nothing more needs to be said.

Seb opens the show with a Avatar The Last Airbender fan fic which ret-cons all The Legend of Korra, and depicts a world where Ozai defeated Aang in their final battle. The new Avatars are being hunted as soon as they were born, and with no one else to save them the world is at the mercy of the Fire Nation. How does the world handle a fire nation Avatar being born? * *

The second half of the show features Brandon's Music Challenge debut featuring thirty recognisable songs from Brandon's childhood. One by one they'll hear a less recognisable section of the song, have a chance to guess it, and if they are wrong the other two hosts get a chance to steal. Correct guesses score a point. Who will be the most knowledgeable panel member? Can Brandon stump them with any of his songs? Play along at home and let us know how you do!

*Show agenda:* Game of Thrones x Terminator crossover fan fiction, Lord of the Rings Shadow of War review, Top 5 Movies that deserve a sequel

**With Ben and Seb away this week we decided to do a little bit of experimenting in our first two-man cast. When the terminator is sent back to the wrong dimension what sort of things will he get up to while protecting the only John he meets - Jon Snow? Co-read by Tom and Brandon we see how the terminator handles some threats (and some hostile allies) that Jon faces regularly.

With the new Lord of the Rings Shadow of War game released the boys do a two part review of the game. First, we discuss the game itself, and some of the pros and cons we think it has. We then recount a few stories which one of the game's unique mechanics - the ability to dominate enemies and use them in your army - allows the players to have. Tom gets betrayed repeatedly and Brandon makes and arch nemesis, which is all in a day's work.

Finally, we run our first joint Top 5, where both Tom and Brandon make a list of movies they believe deserve a squeal. A surprising number one, as well as an entry which both the boys have all make an appearance. Do you agree with our lists? Did we miss an obvious candidate?

Show Agenda: Star Wars fan fiction, Jondo Challenge, Lore 'Dive', Top 5 Most Disappointing Movie Adaptations

This week the boys get into a Star Wars based Fan Fiction, where Clone Troopers turn on their Jedi Master during Order 66. Think Rambo on a desolate planet from the trooper’s perspective! Next the boys check in briefly with the ‘Jondo games challenge’ reviewing where they all got up to with their free to play games. One of the boys commitment to the challenge was not like the others...

The boys make an attempt at doing a ‘Lore-Paddle’ (as Deep Lore was absent this episode) into the vastly expansive Lord of the Rings universe – We barely scratch the surface of Tolkien's universe, but we tackle the big issues like What would a 19th Century Middle Earth look like? Finally it’s Seb’s turn for the Top 5, where he harnesses his geeky-rage and covers a list of his Top 5 most disappointing Movie adaptations. Do you agree with Seb's list? Show agenda: Lois and Clark fan fiction, Nerdy News, Quick and Dirty, Top 5 Book Series

We start this episode with an extremely exciting milestone for the Attack on Fiction crew - we read a fan submitted fan fiction! A story based off the Lois and Clark show from the early 90's, we are very lucky it was a rare gem in what is stereotypically a rough medium to consume. Well written with a story which actually conveys character emotion - does such a fan fiction exist? What does the cast really think?

The long awaited Nerdy News is back with both Star Wars and Pacific Rim dropping trailers during the week. Can Disney get this trilogy back on track towards a strong, unique story, or will they release a film which is a another repeat of the original trilogy? Ben gives us this thoughts on Disney's approach to Star Wars, and his concerns for the story moving forward. Most importantly - SPACE PENGUIN! And do the boys love the new Power Rangers, wait no, Transformers? Right, sorry, Pacific Rim trailer?

An actual quick Quick and Dirty has the boys looking at The Orville, the Battlefront 2 beta, Big Mouth, and Voltron Legendary Defender. Have EA screwed up another Battlefront game already? Are any of these ridiculous shows worth watching? Finally, Tom takes us through our first Top 5 in a new fiction medium - his top 5 book series. A shout out to one of our favourite Aussie authors, a long passed legend, and a surprising web series all make an appearance!

We tackle some of the most pressing issues in society today, such as what would you do if you body swapped for 24 hours, and would you sleep with your friend if they swapped into someone hot.

This week's Quick and Dirty is admittedly not very quick, but is very dirty. Seb discusses the new Bojack Horseman and tries to sell it to Brandon, Ben gives us his thoughts on Justice League Dark, and Brandon is sad about Halo 3. Finally, Ben takes us for a roller coaster ride through his Top 5 abilities and powers. Discussion gets heated when Ben reveals his number 1 - do you agree with Ben or the rest of the crew?

For International Podcast Day the boys have made an extra long episode jam packed with six different segments. Brandon brings forward the worst fan fiction we have had to date - a fascinating story of Patrick Star's Springfield adventure. What could possibly make this story better?

Ben lead's the table on a discussion about the repercussions of humanity achieving Faster Than Light travel. Could it ever be possible? What needs to happen to get there? What happens if human's find another human-like race?

Tom give's a review about a new game he has recently played - Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice. With a very interesting, unique game mechanic and beautiful art style, does the unusual death mechanic and long boss fights hold it back from getting Tom's recommendation? Following the review theme what does the crew think about the new Lara Croft movie trailer? Does it hold up to the Tomb Raider games and movies, or does the new movie look like it will fall short of Jolie's portrayal?

We present our first listener challenge! The team each brings a free to play game (at least three of us did) and we challenge each other to dedicate a decent amount of time to a game they haven't played before. Does anyone draw the short straw?

Show agenda: Two Batman fan fictions, Lore Dive into the Harry Potter Universe, Top 5 movies commonly thought to be made by Disney.

This week features TWO Batman fan fictions. A lucky henchman gets something no one else has got before, and we ask the question: how would Gotham fare if Batman wasn't around?

A newly named segment "Lore Dive" we investigate what the Harry Potter universe is like OUTSIDE of Hogwarts. What is the wizarding world's relationship with Muggles, and could they learn a thing or two from them? The idea that witches and wizards aren't really all that good at magic is also addressed.

Finally, Seb takes us down to a trip to nostalgia town by giving us his Top 5 movies he had mistaken for Disney films in his youth. Did you think the same about anything mentioned in his list?
