Julie Riley, MD, assistant professor and the Director of Endourology and Urologic Research at the University of New Mexico, discusses the top ten things she wishes she knew before she started practicing. Dr. John H. Lynch began his term at president of the AUA on May 7, 2019. Dr. Lynch is Professor and Chairman of the MedStar Georgetown University Hospital Department of Urology, Georgetown University School of Medicine Department of Urology.

He is a past-President of the Washington Urologic Society. He has been Program Chairman and Local Arrangement Chairman for several Mid-Atlantic section meetings.  He served on the Board of Directors for the Mid-Atlantic Section and is a Past President of the section. He served a term on the Executive Committee of the Society of Urology Chairs and Program Directors and represented the Mid-Atlantic Section on the AUA's Board of Directors.

Dr. Neil Baum is an associate clinical professor of urology at Tulane Medical School and Louisiana State University Medical School, both in New Orleans. He is also on the medical staff at Touro Infirmary in New Orleans, and East Jefferson General Hospital in Metairie, LA. He is a highly rated speaker, and his past presentations have all been received exceptionally well by conference attendees at the AUA's annual Practice Management Conference.

During this podcast Dr. Baum will discuss how poor medication compliance leads to a decrease in healthcare outcomes and leads to higher healthcare costs. 

Congratulations to Robert Caleb Kovell, MD, assistant professor and associate residency program director at the University of Pennsylvania's Perelman School of Medicine, recipient of the 2019 AUA Residents and Fellows Committee Teaching Award! Dr. Kovell was formally recognized at the Residents Forum program at the AUA Annual Meeting in Chicago. He was nominated by Dr. Alexander Skokan, PGY-5 at the University of Pennsylvania. On this Inside Tract episode, Drs. Kovell and Skokan are joined by host Dr. Kevin Koo to discuss the award, Dr. Kovell's approach to teaching and the role of educators in urology in general. Dr. Koo is the Chair of the AUA's Residents and Fellows Committee.
