Dementia is one of the most prevalent psychopathological conditions globally. It is characterized by an organic origin, global decay of cognitive functions and irreversible involution. Given its widespread occurrence and its severity, dementia stands as an exceedingly important topic within the field of Psychology.

As such, there is no more fitting guest to have than Professor Felix Diaz. Prof. Diaz is an AUBG Psychology professor, teaching courses such as Social Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Narrative and Identity, and more. He is author of “Closer to us, part of our world”, a book that provides detailed guidance to caregivers on how to improve dementia care. In the episode, he shares his expertise on the subject, while exploring fascinating and crucial aspects of Dementia.

Have you ever wondered how different Philosophical Approaches can be linked with Psychology? It seems the two are connected, but the relationship is rarely explored. Focusing on Stoicism, we discuss how the ancient philosophy of life pairs up with modern psychological theories and how beneficial it can be to the person practicing it.

We invited Ilana Gramatikova, a Psychology student with a keen interest in Philosophy. She has been researching and reading about Stoicism for more than three years. Here, she talks about her knowledge and experience with the famous philosophy approach. 

The Gottman Institute have discovered the four negative communication styles that most often lead to relationship failure, known as "the four horsemen of the apocalypse". In this episode Anna Joukivskaia, a family therapist of 15 years, joined us to help us understand each horseman and provide us with an antidote for it.
