In a chain of comments that fealt like a game of telphone, Bryan Harsin wieghs in on his thoughts of coaches commenting anonymously about the state of other programs. While the original Athalon quote was inococent enough, Harsin fealt the need to put in his thoughts on the matter, possbily resulting from the quote jabbing at his state he left the program in.
Many others came to toss their thoughts in the matter, same angry, some coming with raw objective scouting facts comparing rosters between the two coahes.
A huge week for Auburn! The golf team wins their first ever national championship in a historic run. Auburn took down Florida State in California (odd illusion to 2013 football) to win the championship in a nail biter. Auburn basketball has filled the two spots they had been recruiting to fill since season's end. After many high profile visits Auburn landed their guys, Georgia Tech Combo Guard Miles Kelly and PF Ja'Heim Hudson "Turtle" from SMU. Depth at forward and a combo guard were two big pieces this team was looking for going into the season and this staff does it once again and has Auburn basketball looking like a strong contender with a veteran roster.
Hugh Freeze had an interview with The Next Round and was asked about if Auburn could be expected to make a run in the playoffs in year 2. His answer was surprising and candid for his thoughts on the matter.... In this episode we discuss our thoughts on Hugh's answer to this question and toss in some thoughts of our own about what we think the expectations of year 2 and an overall rebuild should be. We also asked this questions online and got some fan responses of theirs.

Auburn's SEC opponents in basketball for the upcoming season have dropped. Why this news is bigger than other years? The new addition of Texas & Oklahoma to the conference. For the offensive side of the ball, the staff has done a tremendous job at upgrading or retaining position groups that needed improvement. It was pretty clear in 2023 where those were and how that lead to Thorne's struggle at times over the previous season. But now, with those holes appearing to be patched and the unit stronger as a whole....Will Thorne be able to step up to the plate and use what is around him to leap this Auburn team forward in 2024?
The news of Johni Broome returning for his final year at Auburn is HUGE! This is the foundation for a team that has the strength to make a strong run next season. But to do that, Auburn must face up against the the rest of the SEC. With most of Auburn's roster set in stone how does that fair vs the top of the SEC this past year. Auburn Daily writer Andrew Stefaniak joins the show to break down just how big the Brooms news is for Auburn and how other team's rosters are looking right now.
