안녕하세요, 여러분. 오정은입니다.

지난 5월 18일은 제 생일이었습니다. 그래서 아침에 엄마가 미역국을 끓여 줘서 먹었습니다. 여러분도 잘 아시죠? 한국에서는 옛날부터, 생일날 아침에 미역국을 먹는답니다.

그래서 아침에 미역국을 먹고, 기분 좋게 친구들을 만나서, 친구들에게 생일 축하도 받고, 선물도 받고, 케익도 받았어요. 친구들을 아침 일찍 만나서 그런지, 아니면 생일이라서 그런지, 친구들이 장난을 쳐도 기분은 좋았습니다. 그리고 남자친구를 만나서 남산에 올라갔어요.

남산에 올라가면 서울 경치를 한 눈에 볼 수 있습니다. 많이 걸어서 올라가야 하기 때문에 다리가 조금 아팠지만, 멋진 경치를 볼 수 있어서 좋았어요. 저녁이 되어서 다시 남산에서 내려왔는데, 내려오니 친구들이 저를 위해서 깜짝 생일 파티를 준비해 놓고 있었습니다. 친구에게 연락을 받고 모임 장소에 가 보고, 정말 너무 기뻤어요. 파티를 준비해 준 친구들에게 정말 큰 감동을 받았어요. 선물도 받고, 저에게 소중한 사람들과 의미 있는 시간을 보낼 수 있어서 정말 기뻤어요.

지금까지 받은 어떤 선물보다도, 이렇게 친구들이 저를 위해서 모여 주었다는 것이 가장 기뻤는데, 여러분은 지금까지 받은 생일 선물 중 무엇이 가장 기뻤나요? 이야기해 주실래요?

:Hello, everyone. This is Jeongeun.

:This past 18th of May was my birthday. So, in the morning, I had some seaweed soup that my mother made for me. As you're probably well aware of it, in Korea, traditionally, we have seaweed soup for breakfast on birthday.

:So I ate seaweed soup for breakfast, and met my friends in a very happy mood, and got some birthday presents and a cake. Maybe because I met my friends so early in the morning, or maybe because it was my birthday, I was happy even when my friends were teasing me. And then I met my boyfriend and went up Mt. Nam.

:If you go up Mt. Nam, you can get a view of the entire landscape of Seoul. My legs were a bit tired because you have to walk a lot to go up there, but I was happy that I could see the great landscape. We came back down from the mountain again in the evening, and when I came down, my friends had prepared a surprise birthday party for me. I got a phone call from my friend and I was so happy when I went to the place where my friends were gathering. I was so moved by my friends who prepared the party. I was really happy because I got some presents and I could also spend meaningful time with the people who are precious to me.

:More than any present that I got so far, what I was happiest about was the fact that my friends had gathered for me. What was the present that you were happiest about so far? Would you please tell me about it?
