In August of 1993 a group of hikers led by Lyudmilla Korovina took six of her wilderness survival and hiking students up to the Khamar Daban Ridge in southern Siberia.  Of the seven people that went up the to the ridge, only one returned. And her story of what happened is absolutely gut wrenching and bone chilling. This incident, though not as well known, shares many similarities with the Dyatlov Pass incident.
