On July 4th, 2009, the bodies of NFL player Steve McNair and Jenni Kazemi were found in a condo in Nashville, Tennessee.  They had each been shot and died from gunshot wounds.  The investigation moved swiftly, and ultimately, it was determined that Jenni had murdered Steve before turning the gun on herself.  Although the case has been laid to rest, for some people, questions still remain about the investigation and a different murderer, who might have gotten away with it.

UPDATE: She has been sentenced to life in prison since the time of this recording.

On the afternoon of Monday, February 24th, 2020, first responders in Winter Park, Florida arrived at an apartment complex to find 42-year-old Jorge Torres Jr. dead inside of the apartment he shared with girlfriend, Sarah Boone. Jorge was unfortunately past the point of being able to be revived and was pronounced dead on scene. Homicide detectives arrived on scene to question Sarah, who told them a strange tale of what happened and how she’d “accidentally” left her boyfriend zipped up inside of a suitcase, then fell asleep. However, detectives soon recovered evidence on Sarah’s own cell phone that proved that Jorge’s death may not have been a tragic accident after all. This episode discusses an overview of the case and recaps the trial which was broadcast live in 2024.

In September of 2004, Mary Lou Jones called one of her daughter’s friends in Florida, concerned that she had gone several days without hearing from her daughter Michelle. The friend, who also hadn’t heard from Michelle in days, went over to Michelle’s house, and discovered a horrific scene. Michelle and her aunt Teri had been savagely murdered by Teri’s husband, Charlie Brandt. Charlie then took his own life. An investigation into the life of Charlie Brandt shocked detectives as they found that this was not the first murder Charlie had committed, that he could’ve been responsible for over 20 vicious, graphic murders across the state of Florida.

In September of 1978, Rodney Alcala won the date with Cheryl Bradshaw on the popular show, The Dating Game. It was said that his charm and use of innuendo ultimately got him the win. It was also said that this alleged charm was what enabled him to rape and murder at least eight women. It is believed, though, that he may have killed over 100 women in the 1970’s.

In the early morning hours of Sunday, May 29th, 2005, shots rang out from the Shaker Farm in Bellefontaine, Ohio. Nikki Vagades received a call from her 15-year-old step sister, begging for help. When Nikki arrived at the farmhouse, she immediately called 911. Detectives arrived to find six people on the property, all dead from gunshot wounds. Stacy Moody, the youngest child that lived in the house, was barely alive. Just a few hours later, the Logan County Sheriff had closed the case, ruling it a murder-suicide. Despite his certainty, MANY people continue to question whether this massacre was a planned cover-up, possibly by law enforcement.
