In July of 2002, former NBA star Bison Dele, his girlfriend Serena Karlan, and a boat captain named Bertrand Saldo vanished while sailing the South Pacific Ocean. The only person to return from the trip was Bison’s older brother, Miles. When Miles arrived alone in Tahiti, the boat had been repainted and renamed. Authorities suspected Miles had murdered the other three while at sea so that he could assume his brother’s identity, but with no bodies ever found and with Miles’ death in 2002, the fate of Bison and his companions remains a mystery to this day.

On July 9, 1993, just after 1:40am Russell Peterson of Sedona, AZ called 911 and reported that there had been a very bad accident during an argument with his wife, Stephanie. When asked to elaborate, Russel said that his wife had been shot and she was hurt very badly, though Russel couldn’t give a straight answer when it came to WHO shot her but he suggested that she may have shot herself. Suspicions arose later when the couple’s 4 year old daughter told investigators that it was her dad who fired the fatal shot.
