Doug TenNapel and Ethan Nicolle discuss the topics Doug had listed, including The Rise Of Skywalker predictions, topics we completely changed our mind on, calling a woman a pig, and more. Mike was present but silent the entire time as this episode left him literally speechless.
Doug TenNapel and Ethan Nicolle discuss the sad reality that Mike Nelson has left the show and will never return. They also read a bunch of emails. If you want to send us an email you can send it to [email protected].
In this episode of Audio Mullet, Doug and Ethan finally give a real review of that Joker movie. Then after that, they try to talk about Bible verses that are hard to swallow. However, they find most of the verses pretty palatable, so they decide to dive into the topic of what their worst moments were when they were single. How pathetic and desperate were these guys before they found their wives? Find out on today's episode.
In this episode of Audio Mullet, Doug and Ethan barely even notice the absence of their friend Mike as they struggle to discuss free will vs. predestination, then they move onto the premise that all boys are psychos. Slug-salting, bird-slaying psychopaths. They also make up for last week and give a real review of the Joker.
Doug and Ethan blow the lid off of structure and have a completely free-wheeling episode, like a rollercoaster without tracks! Like verbal parkour! While they spend most of the episode reviewing the new Joker movie, they spend part of it also admitting they never saw it. A lot of topics are covered, and we think it worked out just fine. You be the judge. Also, we miss you Mike.
Author, Babylon Bee writer, and excellent Twitter follow Frank J. Fleming joins Doug TenNapel and Ethan Nicolle to discuss the unpopular idea that fairness is not achievable, and government often makes it worse because by necessity, a government enforcing fairness must put people in unfair positions of power. It's all very convoluted, but fun. Later, each tells a story of a celebrity encounter because why not be totally tacky and obnoxious? This is the MULLET.
Check out Frank's book Hellbender (Ethan did the cover!)
and also Sidequest (Ethan did not do the cover, but loves this book)

In another episode without Mike, Doug proposes that every atheist argument against Christianity is a straw man argument. We put this test to an article from Atheist Alliance International proclaiming 8 reasons Christianity is false. After that, the Jonah Goldberg rule of amoral dog crap eating is discussed. What's the least amount of money you would eat dog poo for? What other amoral things would you do, and for how much money? All this and more in another riveting episode.
Progress, tribalism, open-mindedness... these terms often imply a moral, but in and of themselves they are amoral. Ethan and Doug discuss some of the most commonly used amoral words and phrases used by culture today. After that, we talk about fast food - our must-haves and can't-stands.
Doug and Ethan don't even acknowledge the absence of Mike. Instead, they answer three topic requests from Twitter. We talk about going to church and how it's hard to find good teaching. We also talk about cynicism and sarcasm and when does it go too far? Lastly, we talk about writing characters. All answers are answered in a scattered and non-concise manner. Also, there is no Taylor Swift or Area 51 in this episode. We just added that to get clicks!
In this episode of Audio Mullet, Doug TenNapel (Earthworm Jim) and Ethan Nicolle (Axe Cop) talk about their unlikely career paths from two guys living in tiny towns drawing in their bedrooms, to working in Hollywood and getting paid to make stuff up. We do our best not to skip steps so that listeners can get an A to B to C to D snapshot of what two different paths look like. We include in this journey our faith and its impact on these steps. We hope that our stories are interesting to anyone climbing a similarly steep hill and looking for some inspiration, but also if you're not, we hope you are at least entertained.
