to set the scene, I am in bed with the you when I am awoken by your  movements in throws of a nightmare. I am aware of a previous traumatic  experience you had, I know that they are insecure about what happened  and vulnerable emotionally and I want to help you understand that this  trauma is in the past, you are safe, and that you can trust me.

In every shred of happiness they were at the heart of it. 

Not always the cause of it, or even a factor in some cases, but they were there...
