For a man known as a gunfighter, the main character Britt rarely uses his gun. Instead, he uses his wits to get out of tight spots and he shows a lot of concern for others along the way.

Today we travel back in time to 1948 for the syndicated show Box 13 and their third episode, "Blackmail is Murder." Box 13 starred Alan Ladd (star of the classic movie "Shane") as a writer on the lookout for story ideas and adventures ensue.

Today we travel back in time to June 15, 1936 for another Lux Radio Theater production. This time, the show is "Burlesque" and it stars Al Jolson, who was one of the huge stars of the day.

Today we travel back in time to January 6, 1935 for this installment of the Jack Benny program. The sound is rough for about 30 seconds in the beginning but smooths out nicely. The episode is shorter than normal because extra musical numbers have been cut out, unfortunately. This episode is a great example of the formula Benny would use for the next 20 years on radio, followed by another 20 on TV.
