A DROLL DETECTIVE NOIRE-FAIRY TALE MASHUP!

Who was the mysterious girl that danced with the Angevin Crown Prince at the Buda Castle ball, then dashed off leaving behind nothing but a high-heeled shoe?

Down the mean streets of Eighteenth-Century Budapest walks Ferenc Marlowe, failed revolutionary and pioneer private detective. Hired by the Prince to find the missing girl, Marlowe finds himself caught up in a tangled web of court intrigue, dynastic conspiracies and low morals in high places. There are others in the city just as keen that the girl is never found, and Marlowe soon learns that a fairy-tale romance may not always have a happy ending.

Set in an alternative-history Hungary full of religious ferment, political oppression and pre-industrial grime, One Shoe Tale breaks new ground in mashing up hard-boiled detective noire, fairy-tale pastiche, uchronic fiction and just a bit of kinky sex.

    A VERY DIFFERENT VAMPIRE STORY

Although Agatha Grace is more than 300 years old, it certainly doesn't mean she can't adapt and fit into ugly, postindustrial small-town suburbia. Partial to the delights an evening at McDonald's often serves her, she waits at her favorite dimly lit corner table ― for her kind of vampire takeaway.

Being your typical urban vampire, this means her fare isn't up in bright lights on the menu above the cashiers. However, she usually finds exactly what she is seeking. Her teenage beauty, long, blonde hair, and ice blue eyes are a temptation very few adorable young men can resist.

After a long and predictable vampiric existence, trouble is now afoot for Agatha Grace, however. Redheaded, freckled, and occasionally a little slow on the uptake, young Reggie stumbles into Agatha's predictability and turns it on its head as he is struck by his first real dose of love at first sight.

Add the overprotective, rhyming ghost of a dead poet, a snarling black wolf, some cops, and Agatha's preference for the 1980s' fashion of miniskirts, satin halter-neck tops, and knotted white blouses, and things just may go awry, which of course they do.

Along with a couple of untimely and unfortunate deaths and Reggie's complete misunderstanding of anything going on, the awry becomes a dead certainty.

Enjoy My Take Away Vampire. A very different, tasty little comedy vampire tale, but still with a little bite!

A VAMPIRE CULT MURDER MYSTERY? … OMG!

When a man dressed in a long priest's robe and wearing a black, low-crowned, wide-brimmed ecclesiastical hat walked into a Catholic church just prior to the start of a funeral service, stuffed garlic into the deceased's mouth, and pumped a bullet into the corpse, NYPD Homicide Detective Louis Martelli was as puzzled as he's ever been on a case. No stranger to the macabre, Martelli is even more mystified by Deputy Coroner Michael Antonetti's findings, which confirm that the deceased, far from having died of respiratory failure and a possible heart attack, was murdered by someone who injected him with a lethal dose of Philippine cobra venom.

When other, similar deaths are uncovered in and around New York City, the investigation conducted by Martelli and his partner, Detective Sean O'Keeffe, takes a decidedly morbid turn, leading to the discovery of a modern-day vampire cult, a woman named Lilith, and a serial killer with a score to settle.

Who is behind the killings, and can Martelli and O'Keeffe stop him before he kills his last victim and makes good his escape? The answers to these and other questions will be found in this gripping, modern-day tale of vampirism unlike any you have read.

Swords, Sorcery and Space Ships Clash in This Science Fantasy Classic!

Last Days of Thronas is one of the rarest of the fabled science fiction adventures from the golden days of the pulp magazines. It appeared only in a rare 1954 issue of Science Stories and has never been reprinted.

After five years of slavery, Garthanas, the Hamarian Sword and defender of his oppressed people, returns to find the woman he loves has deserted him and his best friend has betrayed him. Now Garthanas lives only for revenge. But, his plans change suddenly when he learns of a plot by Thamas I, the planet's evil ruler, to liquidate the entire Hamarian race. It’s a plan Garthanas swears to stop, even if he has to fight his way through every guard and soldier in the palace. And he will! But what can one lone swordsman do when Thamas I is protected by the might of the golden Godship, relic of a now lost science?

Evoking echoes of Edgar Rice Burroughs and Robert E. Howard, legendary pulp author Stuart J. Byrne's dazzling novel goes far beyond mere action to blend swordplay, feats of heroism, tangled family relationships, sexual psychology, social criticism, physics, metaphysics, and even echoes of the holocaust. This is one of the don’t-miss novels from the pulps with overtones of sophistication and scientific thought rarely found there.

Includes a personal introduction by the author about the origins of the book in speculations about the origin of the asteroid belt and certain biblical legends. This FuturesPast Edition is the only edition of Last Days of Thronas authorized and licensed by the SJByrne estate.

    A LOST BAUM FANTASY RESTORED!

When sea-raiders invade the peaceful island of Pingaree to carry off and enslave its inhabitants, only young Prince Inga, jolly King Rinkitink, and his grumpy goat Bilbil escape. Aided by three Magic Pearls, this unlikely trio of heroes sets out to rescue Inga's people from captivity, a quest that takes them on adventures across the Nonestic Ocean and into the underground world of the Nomes.  The fat King, the young Prince and the sour goat must use their every resource to rescue Inga's parents. Originally written in 1905 as a non-Oz adventure, it was eventually published in 1916 as Rinkitink in Oz, with an Oz ending tacked on for sales purposes. Thanks to a contest sponsored by the International Wizard of Oz Club, Rinkitink now has a new ending written by Andrew J. Heller that is true to Baum's original concept. In King Rinkitink, the characters we have come to know in the story save the day with their wits and courage, instead of interfering sots from Oz (a possible book title, there), such as the insufferable Dorothy, with her bogus "I'm just country girl" persona that fools no-one and the know-it-all Wizard, being dragged in by their ears to defeat the Nome King in a monstrous anti-climax. With the publication of King Rinkitink, the true story, long suppressed by nefarious agents of a certain magical realm with a two-letter name (hint: the second letter is a "z"), can at last be told.
