The Holy City Zoo brought an astonishingly large number of internationally famous comedians to the world, (Robin WIlliams, Paula Poundstone, Bobcat Goldthwait....the list goes on and on). Debi helped nurture the careers of these comedians because she is one of the funniest women alive. As co-owner of the Zoo, she and her husband, American Satirist Will Durst, gave an outlet to some of the brightest minds. They also started San Francisco Comedy Day, a celebration of live comedy, in Golden Gate Park. This year, it is on September 14th at Robin Williams Meadow, (that the Dursts had named in his honor). Check out the conversation between the sweetest human, Debi Durst, and a weird one, Aunty Sochelle. We had a lot of fun reminiscing and talking about the future of comedy. To call a man a legend means you have understood the depth of work he has done in his field.  Eddie Brill is truly a comedy legend up there with the likes of Dangerfield, George Burns and even Johnny Carson. He was a guide to late night careers of so many by putting them on David Letterman's stage.  And Eddie can still bring a room down on his own, often to young audiences who are unaware as to the decades of work under his belt. He IS comedy gold. Brill is also sweet, kind, giving, and humble. He is a prince charming in a crowd of motorcycle gang members. He is, I am grateful to say, one of my newest dearest friends.
