Jason Mallia is regarded as one of Australia's greatest ever amateur boxers amassing over 100 fights before turning pro. Most recently, Jason was Devin Haney's sparring partner before the first George Kambosis fight that took place in Melbourne. Despite being so dedicated and talented, he felt the heartache of falling short of the Olympics and Commonwealth games due to some unwavering bad luck and the covid impact. He is now 3-0 in the pro arena and ready to tear his welterweight division down on his quest to be a World Champion. A proper tough upbringing in the outer suburbs of Melbourne led to Jason only knowing one thing and that was to fight for everything you earn. Hit that subscribe button and please leave a review! xx

Dr Seuss once wrote “You are the youiest you.” It’s a great phrase reinforcing there is no one else completely like you. In our relationships we forget that sometimes. We expect our children and partners to be as excited as us about something or respond just as quickly (or slowly) as we had hoped.
But they too are the “youiest,” versions of themselves.
For our spousal, parenting, and even friendship relationships to success, we need to embrace how people naturally are.
In this episode Kate talks with Jan Terkelsen. Jan has spent two decades working with leaders and their teams. One tool she uses often is the MBTI. It can offer insight into your personal preferences and help you identify why some relationships are clicking, and others need more work.

I had the rare opportunity to recently interview one of SA's biggest media personalities, Andrew 'Cosi' Costello, Breakfast Radio Presenter on SAFM Adelaide and host of South Aussie with Cosi.
We spoke about where the concept for South Aussie with Cosi came about, how he got his break in radio and the younger years when he was MC at nightclubs around SA.
Thanks so much to Cosi for giving up his time, to Sam Mac for providing some great dirt on Cosi, to Nicole Mitchell from SAFM for arranging the chat, to Dan Orr from Fenix Media for a great job of filming and Jeff Richardson from JR Media for editing the video.

Attention is critical to children in the development of cognitive skills – it’s the development of their ability to process sensory information which leads to better memory, problem solving, and general thinking. It makes sense “Attention” needs to be regarded like vision or hearing.
Attention training has been around for years, but a new method is emerging that’s having success. Digital therapeutics – Licensed professional counselors available more often, accessible from your home (just like a house call).

Milos Degenek is a current Socceroo with over 35 caps and on the verge of going to his second World Cup. This man has seen it all from playing in Japan, Serbia, Germany, USA and Saudi Arabia along with experiencing the highest level of football in the Champions League. He gave everything he had and how powerful it is to know he is reaping all the rewards now for honouring his talents. Don't forget to hit subscribe, leave a review and I hope you enjoy the show xx

It was a great pleasure to chat to a terrific and inspiring young lad, Patrick Bines on Sports Legends with Bevo recently.
Patrick was a promising young basketballer and represented Australia at junior level, played for the Melbourne Tigers Basketball in the SEABL then made the transition to AFL where he was picked up by West Coast Eagles as a rookie in 2018.
Whilst playing in the WAFL he sustained a horrific head injury which ended his footy career.
We spoke about how Patrick turned things around after going through some tough times as a result of the injuries he sustained and where to now for his career going forward.
Thanks so much to Patrick for his time and for being so open and honest about his journey and to the team at PodBooth for putting this great video together.

Arguably one of the best of his generation joins me on the show this week, Dane Swan. Swanny and I focus on the AFL Finals in 2022 and dive into the life of Dane Swan post footy which involves a variety of businesses from ownership to investor. I have always loved Swanny's sense of humour and dry nature which always makes for fun and intelligent conversations. Swanny even shares his two cents on the Pies chances and the scrutiny on rising star Jack Ginnivan. A hell of an episode, if you're new here please don't forget to subscribe or leave a review :) xxx

Every habit you have, good or bad, follows the same three-stage pattern. First, something reminds you have an action you’ve taken before which triggers the habit. Second is the route of the action – you’ve done this before; you can anticipate the reward. And third is the reward itself which create future anticipation.
With a bad habit that could unfold as you walk by the cupboard, spy a bag of chips, decide to just have a couple but end up eating half the bag. Replace that with a good habit and it may unfold as you see the bag of chips and congratulate yourself they haven’t been opened yet or you haven’t indulged. Bad habits tend to be rewarded more quickly than good ones.
We are creatures of habit and our family members are too. In this episode Kate talks with Peter Daniels of Lead Australia, a specialist personality and development company.
Guest Peter Daniels
With 40+ years business and sales experience, Peter is head of Lead Australia, a specialist Personal and Business Development company providing one-on-one and group coaching programs for businesses large and small.

Jake Brimmer, without question was the man of the A-League in Season 2021/22 after winning the prized accolade of the Johnny Warren Medalist for Player of the Year. Jake is known for his skillful feet, technique and dead ball qualities on the football field and having had the tutelage through Liverpool's famed football academy he is no doubt ready to soar in 2022 again. Off the field, Jake who is only 24 has three kids and shares the insights on being a young dad and the hurdles he and his family have had to overcome. A rather inspiring story off the field but this has helped to keep him grounded and focused to aim for the 2022 World Cup squad for the Socceroos in Qatar.

It was great fun chatting to James Liotta recently on Comedy Legends with Bevo in the lead up to his new comedy show with good friend and fellow comedian Piero Viavattene called 'How Much For Cash?'
We discussed what the show is all about, how James got into acting at a young age and whilst being on television didn't always work in his favour at school, what it was like appearing on the Fat Pizza television show and James told us some interesting stories about hecklers.
How Much for Cash comes to Adelaide on October 1, to purchase tickets go to https://www.trybooking.com/events/landing/893263.
Thanks so much to James for his time and sharing some hilarious stories and to the team at PodBooth for putting this great video together.
