The Australian Landing Pad in Shanghai welcomed the 4th regular cohort of four entrepreneurs on 22-Jan and seven more delegates attending the first China Bootcamp on 29-Jan that Austrade co-delivers in partnership with PTL Group.

The China Bootcamp is a signature program initially implemented by PTL Group for Israeli startups prepping their founders and managers for China market entry. Through the partnership between Austrade and PTL, this time, the Bootcamp becomes an iterated offering at the #ShanghaiLP in parallel with and ramps up to the regular 90-day residencies. This 1-week intensive program aims to provide Australian entrepreneurs who're interested in the China market a quick validation of the market context and a solid ramping-up approach for their market entry strategies and roadmaps for next steps.

Australia has shown its leadership role in the international community in adopting and standardising the Blockchain technology alongside China as this powerhouse nation has shown unprecedented passion from government, tech giants, to investors on this particular technology that has application scenes rooted in but far beyond the financial services sector.

Working on supporting Australian Blockchain technology from its early days, Austrade China Financial Services Team has led multiple missions to and from China to enhance the collaboration between the two countries on Blockchain. The very person behind multiple missions and sound collaboration, Adam Gong, joined the show to share trends and actions in this exciting area.

As one of six Australian Counsellors for Industry, Innovation and Science overseas, Ms Joanna Bunting from the Australian Embassy in Beijing joined the show to share the latest updates on research and innovation collaboration endeavours with China and practical guides for researchers to consider working with Chinese partners with the support under the National Innovation and Science Agenda (NISA) alongside other frameworks.

Dr Veronica Borrett, by training a research scientist, but also the Founder of BAI Games - a game-based learning company, and the Creator of Wenhu App (Wenhu - Chinese for 'Word Tiger').
