With our Round 2 completed, it's becoming clearer that this season will be up and down for most of us. The Thursday night games a killing us with the naming of players and the byes coming into play it will test the depth of quite a few teams. But the bigger question is why are players being managed already! We had a few audio issues tonight with Steve but we pushed through.

Steve and I kick off the new season of the podcasts with the Round 1 of the 2024 AFR season completed. As we look at the winners and losers of the round you can't help but think how much the byes this year will influence the ladder and the make up of the finals.

We're back this week to have a chat about how the season will play out with the number of byes that we need to contend with when drafting our teams.

In what will be the last podcast of the season, we take a look at the final round of the home and away season. Who made the finals, who missed out, Commish Medal winners.

We've only got two more rounds in the home and away season and just when we think things couldn't get more interesting the top 5 continue to fight for the best position going into the finals. A few teams in the Cup comps are starting to get nervous as well, the Champions League is really looks like it'll come down to the final round.

With only three rounds remaining in the season each game is really starting to mean 8 points - for the teams at the top of the ladder and the bottom! There were a couple of close ones this week except if you were playing the Warriors ...

I'm sure you're all like me and happy to send the end of the bye rounds, with the NBA draft completed and Round 13 done it means only one thing ... 1 more week until the trade deadline! If there are any trades that you have any players that you don't think that will make the cut .. now is the time.

This week we had the first try of the new system for the bye, I might be bias, but I loved it - other that a late withdrawal of my ruck which killed me - anyway that's a conversation for the podcast. We had a couple of high scoring games this week and I sure all Tex Walker owners were left wondering why, why this week.

We've been away a couple of weeks as life has got in the way again, but it's come around, that time of the season that we all dreed - the bye rounds. But fear not, Steve has come up with a way that will limit the damage to our minds and the scores.

I think for the first time in history we've had two ties in the same week, with only a couple of weeks out before the Mid Seaosn Draft those could make a huge impact on the draft order.
