This week we had some massive scores by some teams and the Forwards set the scoring records alight across both leagues! While most people are looking at the league ladder we can't forget about the Champions League, we're down to the pointy end of the Group Stage now and some groups will come down to points scored - not just wins.

We had a week off last week due to Steve being sick and losing his voice, but we're back for a quick chat to talk about all the latest AFR news from Round 6.

Can you believe that we’re 4 weeks into the season already? Put your hand up if you thought that you’d be doing better than you are … ok, so it’s only the Chargers and Warriors that have their hands up.

Some of the scores this week came back down to earth as some of the teams started chasing the stats. The first two round of the AFR have been made up of some high scores, but Round 3 historically sees them come down a bit as some clubs start to figure out game plans. We announce a trade live on the podcast this week as it came through just as we were about to press record.

Round 2 saw some close games and some even coming down to the final few minutes of the AFL games, in saying that unlike most tipping comps out there the favourites still managed to win in most cases. This week Steve and I spend a bit more time looking at the Champions League and some of the how the Group Stages are looking.

Isn't it great to have football back .. last week I couldn't be bothered with it and this week I'm looking forward to Round 2 already. It might have something to do with me walking the Oxfam 100km trail walk and this time next week means that I would have (hopefully) completed it. There were some big scores this week and some if the teams probably exceeded expectations once that a once off or will it be the start of something big this season.

Where was the offseason? Yesterday we all got together for the pre-season draft, thanks to everyone for making it run so smoothly as always - although the question still gets asked: "Why does the Original League Draft always take longer than the Super League?". Tonight Steve I and catch up pretty much for the first time since the end of last season and we have a chat about the draft, our season predictions and take a look at Round 1 that starts this week.

We had a couple of technical issues to start the podcast today but we're back!! It's been a couple of weeks since Steve and I had some time to sit down and record the podcast, it's almost like getting the band back together again. The home and away season has completed and we're now into the finals and Cup Finals. We take a look back at some of the games at the end of the season and review the games from the weekend.

We're getting to the pointy-end of the season now with only three rounds left in the Home and Away season so many places are still up for grabs - at the top and the bottom of the ladder. Although everyone wants to make finals Champions League positions for next season are still up for grabs and the Phamtoms are showing both leagues how to end the season.

It's been a couple of weeks since Steve and I were able to have a chat and record a podcast, so we have a little bit to catch up on. I think we can all agree that it's great to see the back of the bye rounds .. but that now means that we have the trade deadline upon us. Any trade made after the round starts will come into effect after the end of season delist.
