Do you find yourself racing to the kitchen when you’re feeling down or upset? Finding comfort in food is common, and it is part of a practice called emotional eating.
People who emotionally eat reach for food more times in a day than normal, just to suppress and soothe negative feelings. And then feel guilty or ashamed after eating this way and that will lead to more sadness and the cycle of excess eating continues and associated issues like weight gain and low self esteem begins to manifest. On this episode, Ammie shares the story of her journey towards overcoming emotional eating, with hope that it will help strengthen anyone who is going through the same thing, to fight to get through it by knowing that someone is doing it and it is possible to reach in and deal with the emotional issues on their own and then eat when it is necessary. It is an interesting episode. For feedback, contributions, or anything else, please send a DM on Instagram @Ammie.G or an email to [email protected].
